  • Lovely, Quiet, Fantastic Location for family ~

"Cotuit is a great vacation destination. Close to whatever you might like to see and do on the Cape, but also "away from it all." This house has a nice open concept layout and all the necessary kitchen and grill stuff for cooking meals during your stay. The sunset views are spectacular. Kayaking was great, especially in the early morning when the water was very calm and quiet. There is a swan in the bay, lots of osprey. One afternoon we paddled up the Santuit River (under the bridge ) and actually saw a BALD EAGLE in a skirmish with a couple of osprey. Then on the way back, we saw an otter in the rushes, stared at us for a moment and then slipped into the water. Very cool. There are great places to walk in Cotuit, two are walking distance from the house. We brought our dog and she loved going for walks at the two conservation areas. There is a beach sticker for parking at all beaches and docks in all of Barnstable. The welcome sheet describes favorite beaches and how to get to them. We had a great week! Will probably book this place again next summer!!"

  • Dream Getaway

"Gorgeous house with a breathtaking view. Dennis is a wonderful and generous owner. He accommodated our late arrival and gave us tons of great suggestions on what to do and see. Neighborhood is safe (I'm from the Midwest so I really appreciated safety) beautiful and peaceful, making for great afternoon and evening walks. Leaving the Cape was hard. But we know who to call when we come back. Thanks Dennis!"

  • Great home, in good condition and super location.

"We enjoyed our stay at the home immensely. We were there Aug. 20-26, 2016 with 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. The fenced yard was great for the dogs, although you did have to watch them, as the street is a busy one. The kitchen was amply stocked and we enjoyed it's openness to the dining area. The backyard was a delight, backing up to the river for bird watching. The six year old decided the bay window in the family room was a perfect spot to sleep, with her sleeping bag. She slept there the entire time! As you can see, we made use of every inch of space. The 5 minute walk to the beach was perfect, as we could come back for lunch or anything we forgot. There were plenty of pots, pans and dinnerware. We did go to Tugboats in Yarmouth, a 10 min. car ride, and found the food to be good and the sunset from the outside dining deck, awesome. We would certainly not hesitate to come back again."

  • Beautiful home.

"The home and property are really lovely and in an ideal location. It is a beautifully decorated classic Cape home and very comfortable. We had some minor, ordinary logistical changes to our plans that arose. First, we wanted to pay to arrive one night earlier rather than staying in a hotel. Then, on our departure date there was a miscommunication relating to the departure time of one of our ten guests and her belongings were still in the home when the cleaning crew arrived. Ultimately, everything was resolved, but the owner was very anxious about both issues and a good bit of communication was required. I would advise to confirm all plans in detail ahead of time, which we would have preferred to do as well, but is not always possible with travel."
