  • Great kitchen and dining room gathering spots Plus lots of space.

"The price of this rental was very fair. The number of bedrooms and beds makes it a good value. The kitchen was extremely well outfitted right down to a knife sharpener. You would not want for anything in the kitchen. The owner supplies plastic bags, foil, trash bags, S&P, and jars of many, many commonly used seasonings. There are dishes and glasses galore. The owner also supplies hand soap at every sink and a liquid body wash at every shower as well as extra rolls of bath tissue in each bathroom. The house is an unusual design in that there is a lovely bedroom (K + 2 T's) over the attached garage but no bathroom and no AC that I could determine. The living floor has a King master with attached bath, plus two additional bedrooms ( Q and a T) which share the hall bath. The lower level (basement) has two Q bedrooms and a full bath plus a small kitchen and good sized living area with TV. The owner even supplies a computer printer and the paper on a computer table in the lower level. Books are available for anyone who wishes to borrow/take one home with them. There was a shelf area with lots of games for kids. The garage houses a couple of very decent bikes to borrow plus lots of beach chairs as well as a ping pong table to entertain the kids on rainy days. The house was clean and orderly but we think the cleaner got carried away with air freshener in the lower level. Luckily the weather was cooperative and we were able to open windows and air it out. There is an outdoor shower which the men enjoyed and it was accessible off the deck or through the slider in the lower level. The property gently slopes away in the back which places the deck kind of in the trees and that was charming. The deck has adequate table and chair space to seat a crowd and the inside dining table was also quite long with lots of chairs for meals."

  • comfortable and welcoming

"Many thanks to John and Elaine for the use of their holiday home in Hyannis which was perfect for us as a family of 2 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed the location, the sunshine, the beach, the shops and the JFK trail and museum in the area. Could have stayed for longer and done much more. House was comfy and warm and kitchen was very well supplied with everything we needed. Thanks again x"

  • Another wonderful week!

"This was our 3rd time spending a week at this condo, we love it and the location so much that we keep coming back every year. Myself, my wife and our 2 kids love the location and the accommodations. It's great being able to walk right out the door and down to the beach on the bay side or just relax on the porch whenever we want. Its a quick run into to town for lunch and dinner, or a quick trip to the local Stop and Shop if we feel like eating in. Lots of great things to see and do nearby, from whale watching and dune tours, to walking around town or going to the beaches on the ocean side of the Cape (more than a few within a 10 minute drive)."

  • Fantastic cottage charm

"This beach cottage getaway was exactly what we needed! The house itself is very quaint, and has all of the amenities that we needed, but it's number 1 asset is the location. The Mill Pond is a few hundred yards away, and the kayaking was great. Lots of fish and a few seals cursing around in between the boats. For the ocean side, Lighthouse Beach is about 2 blocks away, but there is also a quieter beach at the end of Water Street that we used more often. The kids loved seeing all of the seals from the shore, but also took a boat tour for a closer view of the masses. It was great to stay in a pace that had a kitchen, and we took advantage by cooking a handful of meals that we ate outside on the deck, A short walk to Main Street gave us most of our other dining and plenty of shopping. A 5 minute drive to Chatham Seaside Links provided a little local 9 hole golf fun. For bigger golf, we drove about 25 minutes to Ocean Edge Resort to play a Nicklaus course, and that was fantastic. For a more extravagant snacks and sunset cocktails, we visited The Chatham Bars Inn and sat on the porch to look out over the water. The owners were super accommodating, and easy to work with. We had the pleasure of meeting them just before we left, and let them know that we will be back for other visits, for sure. We would highly recommend staying here!!!"
