  • Perfect week at the beach!

"My family and I stayed in this family-owned home for 1 week this summer and as soon as we left, we already wanted to go back! It was the perfect size for my family of four. The kitchen and beach equipment was fully stocked with everything we could need. The outdoor shower was great for getting clean after a day of biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail or going to the beach. The kids loved walking to the Brewster Coffee Shop for breakfast in the morning and then to the Brewster General Store for candy, t shirts, and books. We spent most of our days at the gorgeous private beach which was only a two minute walk down the road. It was not crowded and the locals we met were very kind and had many suggestions for dinner spots, ocean side beaches, and things to do. The water was warm, clear and calm in the bay; perfect for paddle boarding! The kids loved walking out to the flats at low tide and discovering hermit crabs, cold springs, and seashells. A favorite find was the Ocean Edge Resort Beach Bar that had food and drinks right on the water. The kids favorite was visiting the Chatham Shark Center where they learned all about the ocean, great whites, and even got to try a virtual reality headset that simulated swimming with sharks. I highly recommend this home for any family or older couple looking for a relaxing getaway on the Cape. There is plenty to do and plenty of time to relax and just enjoy the Cape. Thank you Campbell family for a wonderful week!"

  • Just right.

"Impeccably clean, well appointed, and as described on VRBO. We wanted a quiet spot, close to a beach, but still close to other activities the Cape offers. We biked, used the provided kayaks, strolled the beach, grilled seafood in the quiet backyard, and enjoyed the fire pit. Easy car trip access to the rest of the Cape - shops, parks, restaurants, etc. Perfect for a relaxing getaway."

  • Highly recommended comfortable home

"The net is that we really felt comfortable at Woodchip. We cooked nearly every night at the house and were very pleased with the fully equiped kitchen. There was a handheld mixer, a mini food processor, and bbq grill which we actually used. Those are not things that we have found at other house rentals. The house was larger than we expected and felt very spacious. We felt relaxed in the evening watching Netflix on the couch after spending time at the nearby beaches. While we did walk to the Crosby Lane beach one day, it took us about 35 minutes. But we knew that it would take a while, but just wanted to point out the walking time. Plus, while Brewster is a very nice area, it does not have the traditional main street experience like Chatham or the over the top Provincetown. But we are very grateful to the owners because we had a family emergency during our originally scheduled rental period and even though the contract was very clear that they required a 60 day notice of any changes, they were extremely kind to offer us an alternative rental period. So, they were both very responsive and generous. We would highly recommend others to rent this house."
