  • Can't Wait to Go Back!

"What a perfect house in a perfect location. Our family went in July- we had 9 adults and 1 toddler. This was our first time in this house- we had more family going this year and needed a larger house. The view was wonderful and it was a very quick and easy walk to town. While off a main road, it really wasn't noisy. I don't recall feeling like there was a lot of traffic or hearing the cars. The house was quite spacious, yet warm. You can tell a lot of thought was put in every detail. There were several areas to congregate as a family, but it was also possible to find a quiet place to sit and read. There was plenty of room for all of us. I'll provide some specifics just to help other readers. We brought a toddler mattress for our son to sleep on the floor as typically homes don't come equipped with beds that have guard rails. There is a small bedroom on the first floor- it is for one person with a single bed. It's actually quite quaint and cozy, but it's really a small room you would only sleep in. It is connected to a nice den though, so it can feel like a nice extension to the room. There is also a full bathroom right next to it. It's almost like a little studio apartment within the house. There is also another regular size bedroom on the first floor. There is a very nice full bath right next to it. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master suite overlooks Oyster Pond and has a very nice full bathroom in it. Very spacious. There is a slightly smaller bedroom that is very nice and cozy that has a full bath attached. From this bedroom you can walk into more of what feels like a loft bedroom-the one with the twin beds in the picture. There is also a back staircase to access this other bedroom, so you do not have to walk through one bedroom to get to another. This loft bedroom has a half bath. This is a great room for young kids, but you do have to be careful with the back staircase since it's pretty steep. As far as kids go, we managed it well with one toddler. There are a lot of breakable things in this house, so I probably wouldn't recommend it if really small children outnumber the parents. That being said, it still felt like a home, so it is a great family environment. There were plenty of fun things for our son to play with. Overall this was a wonderful house. We truly loved being there and can't wait to come back. Wish we could do it every summer!"

  • Just Wonderful

"My extended family and I rented this beautiful home for a week recently. They say it is all about the location and this location was amazing! The home is secluded and on a huge lot directly on Stage Harbor. However, there was so much more to this house than location. Aside from the many bedrooms and bathrooms the updated kitchen is large and fully equipped. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't there. The washer, dryer and second refrigerator were very much appreciated. The original house has lots of character and the add ons - a large sun porch and a family/TV room - offered places to get away from the bustle. The owners were very accommodating and attentive to our needs. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Sears Point and I highly recommend this very special home."

  • Great family vacation

"We have been visiting the Cape for many summers. We love the town of Chatham. We also love the area of Morris Island. The house was clean and a good size for our family. We have 3 kids ages 9, 7, and 5. The children loved the loft area. The outdoor shower was a treat. Having a washer and dryer was also a huge plus for our family. The walk to Lighthouse Beach was about 5 to 10mins with little ones. The walk to the private beach was about the same. We enjoyed exploring for crabs and seals. I would recommend this home. It is close to all the best parts of Chatham. Thank you."

  • Amazing New Year Holiday

"My husband and I along with our three small children celebrated the New Year enjoying Chatham's First Night Celebration. It is the perfect location to ring in the New Year with a family oriented focus of music, children's activities and outstanding early fireworks. We were surprised to be greeted by the outside of this home's pergola decorated in fresh green garland and a green door wreath with sand dollars and starfish. The holiday decor continued with a beautiful garland on the mantle along with a coordinated Christmas tree of miniature white lights, starfish and sand dollars. While there was plenty of restaurants open, we couldn't pass up cooking in the well outfitted kitchen after buying the freshest seafood at the Chatham Fish and Lobster Co. less than a mile from the house. Our children loved playing in the finished lower level outfitted with the 2nd large TV and its own bathroom. It allowed us to entertain friends in the large kitchen after the kids had eaten. Truly a house that accomadates different age groups as our 2 yr old we put to bed early and older siblings at play didn't wake her. Beds have lovely warm duvets and the most comfortable mattresses ever. We enjoyed exploring and walked to Ridgevale Rd Beach via a private path. Easy safe walk for our kids ranging in age 2-8. We can't wait to visit this home during warmer weather. The owners Claire and Walt are super easy to work with and the house has a binder with all of their favorite places to eat, explore and visit.
