  • Serene retreat

"We have stayed at this property for a couple years now, and love it. We searched over many years for properties large enough to accommodate our large group (15-20 spanning young children to greying). Plenty of parking, bedrooms, and baths for large groups (multiple families), with roomy shared spaces for eating and relaxing together. This past stay, there was some rain, but even stuck in a house all day was relaxing and not claustrophobic as in some rentals. The beaches nearby are great (a little more protected in terms of waves), and plenty of good eats if needing to eat out on occasions. Kitchen is well stocked for sit-down meals. Also, the owners are wonderful and helped us accommodate some circumstances; they really care about the property and it shows."

  • Tranquil, relaxing, wonderful home

"The minute my husband, son, and I pulled into the driveway and saw the beautiful landscaped yard and flowers we knew we were off to a great start. Entering the home we found a warm, bright, and incredibly designed home. The attention to every detail was fantastic. The view of the pond from the kitchen and family room- with the outside winding deck made for a perfect cup of coffee in the am inside or out. The birds and wild turkeys were fun to watch from the deck every day. The house is spotless and the kitchen had every amenity that was needed. There was plenty of space for the family to enjoy and entertain. Thanks to the owner for the binders of Chatham history and for sharing this lovely home."

  • Lovely and close to Chatham Bars Inn

"Wow! What an amazing location- perfect walkable distance to Chatham Bars Inn where we attended a wedding. This meant enjoying a little space to ourselves but being able to take advantage of all the activities with ease. Location is also walkable to town- great for avoiding the parking crush when it's busy. What we loved about the house: amazing attention to detail in every corner. Great comfortable bed (master), with nice linens on it. Everything was spotlessly clean. So many lovely touches to make it feel like a home but not cluttered. Beautiful coordinated peaceful colors. She has thought of everything you'd need from beach bags to borrow, bike helmet, etc. the whole place was bright and airy, and we particularly loved the little windows right above the bed for night time air. Air conditioning was hardly needed but worked perfectly to cool the house off when we first arrived. Thank you Kate, and for all considering this is perfect for two, could easily sleep four with the day bed/ trundle, and 6 if you want to cram people in using the sofa bed. Sweet back yard with lawn furniture, picnic table and a great outdoor shower. Highly recommend!!"

  • One of a kind getaway

"My family and I have stayed here for the last 3 years and eagerly count down the days to the following summer's retreat. The name "Sandbox" is truly dead on, as you will not find a better location to relax, play and have fun with its own private beach, outdoor patio, comfy rooms and open floor plan, and easy access to all that the best town in Cape Cod, Chatham has to offer. It also is fantastic location for trips north to Orleans, Wellfleet and Provincetown for restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. Last but not least it is great that you are right down the street to one of the best seafood stores, at the Chatham Pier for your own personal clambake meals."
