  • Great House/Grounds/Location

"We stayed here in late August, 2016 for a week. Three adults and three children (8, 5, 3) and the house accommodated everyone well. The property and grounds are in great condition - lots of beautiful flowers - the owners really have done an excellent job updating and maintaining the property. The kitchen is modern, bright, nice and big and was perfect for cooking regular meals and serving a large group. The location is excellent. It's a 2 minute to drive to Loop Beach, a nice little beach in Cotuit. It's about 20-25 minutes to Kalmus beach in Hyannis or Woodneck beach in Falmouth - our other 2 favorite stomping grounds. Cotuit itself is a nice, quiet village in Cape Cod. There's not a ton to do there, but if you're looking for the quintessential seaside, Cape Cod experience, it's perfect, and you're only 10-20 minutes from plenty of good attractions in Mashpee/Hyannis/Falmouth. I'd recommend the property and will probably stay there again in the future. Also, the owners are nice, responsive, and very easy/pleasant to deal with."

  • Lovely, Quiet, Fantastic Location for family ~

"Cotuit is a great vacation destination. Close to whatever you might like to see and do on the Cape, but also "away from it all." This house has a nice open concept layout and all the necessary kitchen and grill stuff for cooking meals during your stay. The sunset views are spectacular. Kayaking was great, especially in the early morning when the water was very calm and quiet. There is a swan in the bay, lots of osprey. One afternoon we paddled up the Santuit River (under the bridge ) and actually saw a BALD EAGLE in a skirmish with a couple of osprey. Then on the way back, we saw an otter in the rushes, stared at us for a moment and then slipped into the water. Very cool. There are great places to walk in Cotuit, two are walking distance from the house. We brought our dog and she loved going for walks at the two conservation areas. There is a beach sticker for parking at all beaches and docks in all of Barnstable. The welcome sheet describes favorite beaches and how to get to them. We had a great week! Will probably book this place again next summer!!"

  • Wonderful and relaxing trip for the whole family

"We absolutely loved staying in this home. We had perfect weather for our entire vacation which allowed us to take full advantage of the pool and the yard. The house itself is beautifully decorated and has plenty of space for anything you could possibly need. We loved making breakfast and in the well-stocked kitchen and grilling lunch out on the deck. The bedrooms are beautiful and comfortable, especially the master with the amazing king bed. The owners are VERY easy to work with and respond quickly if you have any question or concern prior to booking, after booking or during your stay. They provide you with all their contact information and are very good people. Just a few things to note, and certainly not anything that would ever keep us from staying here again... First, there wasn't any kind of detergent provided, so if you need to do laundry (and start the towels upon check-out per request), pick up a bottle of detergent for high-efficiency machines while you're out and about during the day. Second, while the master bedroom has a wall unit, there isn't air conditioning anywhere else in the house. There are fans provided (and if I recall, a few extra in closets), but it can get warm and muggy in the evenings during a humid week so you'll want to keep the air flowing and take a dip in the pool or take a cool shower before bed to stay comfortable. Downstairs stays much cooler, so air hockey and a movie at night is a pretty good way to wind down in comfort! One last note, the house has cable TV, but it's very bare bones. That was totally fine with us (no one visits the Cape to watch TV), but if you're someone that likes to unwind with a movie or a favorite show at night, you may want to bring DVDs (some are provided) and/or a Fire TV stick to fill your programming void. I cannot say enough about the furnishings in the home -- every last detail is gorgeous, right down to the bed linens. Whoever decorated has a keen eye for style! The pool is super clean and beautiful; the yard has gorgeous well-maintained landscaping and tons of space for any outdoor activity. We played croquet, tossed a ball around and relaxed in the shade during the day, and enjoyed fireside s'mores and a refreshing swim at night. We definitely made MANY new memories in our stay at the Mahers' home, and we will absolutely return."

  • Great Cotuit Rental!

"This was our second time renting this property. It was perfect for us as my mother is elderly and there is a master on the main level with it's own bath. There is a second bedroom with a king bed and 2 closets for another couple, and third bedroom with 2 twin beds. (We didn't have a need for the extra loft.) The home has a great kitchen, fully equipped, lovely deck, outdoor grill and out door shower. The owners supplies Linens, a beach pass, towels, chairs, umbrellas etc. Bring your own toiletries. CVS, grocery & liquor store is a minute from the house. Would definitely come again."
