  • The PERFECT summer vacation

"This is my second year in a row at this wonderful home and once again it didn't disappoint. I urge anyone looking for a place on the cape to stay here. The pond is always warm and clear, you can stay in it for hours on end. The beach is feet away from your house so you can go back and forth with ease. The deck is beautiful and my group loved eating all our meals out on it. The place sleeps so many, our large group is totally comfortable in this house and enjoy movie nights and ping pong games at night. The addition of the fire pit was awesome! we all sat around after a long day on the lake and just told stories and ate smores. The central air was amazing and we couldn't ask for anything else. My friends and I only get one week a year together and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. There really isn't any other word than perfect to describe this place. its what you think of when you think of vacation."

  • Lovely, Quiet, Fantastic Location for family ~

"Cotuit is a great vacation destination. Close to whatever you might like to see and do on the Cape, but also "away from it all." This house has a nice open concept layout and all the necessary kitchen and grill stuff for cooking meals during your stay. The sunset views are spectacular. Kayaking was great, especially in the early morning when the water was very calm and quiet. There is a swan in the bay, lots of osprey. One afternoon we paddled up the Santuit River (under the bridge ) and actually saw a BALD EAGLE in a skirmish with a couple of osprey. Then on the way back, we saw an otter in the rushes, stared at us for a moment and then slipped into the water. Very cool. There are great places to walk in Cotuit, two are walking distance from the house. We brought our dog and she loved going for walks at the two conservation areas. There is a beach sticker for parking at all beaches and docks in all of Barnstable. The welcome sheet describes favorite beaches and how to get to them. We had a great week! Will probably book this place again next summer!!"

  • Great Family House

"Our family has been coming to Truro for almost 20 years, and this is the first time that we have rented Liz's house. It has been a great experience. The house is charming and comfortable, and Liz has provided virtually everything we need for the beach, for cooking and for hanging out. The historic house is really well maintained with lovely decor and comfortable furniture. There are two living rooms, which allowed us to spend time on our own without interfering with one another when we wanted space. I have stayed in antique houses that are charming but musty. Nothing musty here. It is light and open throughout. Access to the beaches is easy, and it is a very short walk into Truro Center. The grocery store there is small and not cheap, but it has very nice products to offer. I highly recommend this house, and I fully intend to rent here again."

  • Very comfortable beach house, in a good location

"Our family of eight (grandparents, parents, and grandchildren ages 15 and 11), stayed at this house for one week and enjoyed every minute. The house is well equipped with everything you need, including beach towels, bicycles, kayaks, BBQ grills, plates, glasses, and cooking utensils. We ate most of our meals at home and outside, and used the kayaks every day. The living and dining areas of the house are large and spacious with comfy chairs and couches and two very large TVs. The waterfront backyard has at least six chaise lounges with cushions and a dining table that easily accommodates 8 adults. There is a selection of children's games and videos to keep younger children entertained. Our 11 year old loved the kayaks. I would recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay on the Cape, you will not be disappointed."
