  • Wonderful place to gather with extended family

"We gathered here to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. We were a total of 16 people that included my 80 yr old mom, my 2 sisters and our families, which included children from the ages of 25 - 10 and one 1 yr-old. The house is just as it is described. The view is magnificent!! As you can imagine, everyone really enjoyed the pool. We also rented a kayak and a canoe, which were delivered and picked up right from the property for a small fee. But you have to watch the tide when you go in the water. And we also had a chef (recommended by the owner) come in and cook a surprise surf and turf dinner for my mom's birthday, which she absolutely loved! We loved that we could all sit at the table together for meals. And play bingo and card games at night. The main floor is spacious enough that you never feel cramped or on top of each other. The roof top deck is absolutely stunning! I woke up every morning to catch the sunrise and listen to the birds. It's a great place for a multi-generational vacation. We could cook when we wanted, having 2 of every appliance was great. And we could go out when we wanted. There were plenty of restaurants close by. I think we visited Sundae School almost every night for ice cream. The elevator would be great for people with disabilities. You can go from the ground floor where the pool is, all the way up to the floor where the roof top deck is. What a wonderful way to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!! I would definitely recommend this house for a large family gathering of all ages!"

  • Lovely Home in Quiet, Secluded Neighborhood. Close to Nauset Beach

"Close to both Nauset Beach and East Orleans shops, this 3 Bedroom home on a private road is a perfect getaway for those wanting to relax. The large deck overlooks a sloping yard, and is across the street from Meeting House Pond. The kitchen has been recently updated, and is just beautiful. Air conditioning in the main living area and huge master bedroom suite certainly helped keep us cool during this extra hot summer. Would definitely return!"

  • Peaceful Getaway!

"This was our second time renting at the Barley Neck area of Orleans. It is a beautiful place with bike and walking trails along the marshes and Nauset Beach being nearby, about 2 miles from this cottage. The pictures don't show how spacious the kitchen and dining room area really is and how it opens up to the living room. The room divider is a beautiful center chimney. The bedrooms are comfortable and cozy and the bunk house was peaceful and quiet, like being in a cabin. The yard is wonderfully landscaped in the front with English ivy defining the back yard. We loved the grill for meats and for grilling corn in the husk. The outdoor shower was hot and the Adirondack chairs were great for morning coffee time and after dinner relaxation. Nauset Farm stand was a short bike ride away for fresh food and vegetables. We were an eclectic group of parents with teenagers and an 11 year old and we all enjoyed this lovely cottage. It was hard to leave. Looking forward to another visit."

  • Family Retreat for Special Occasion

"We needed a Cape Cod style house for a special extended family two night retreat. This property was just what we were looking for - location, appearance, and furnishings. The kitchen, adjoining 3 seasons room and deck provided the perfect layout for our celebration. We were able to easily move tables around to accommodate a brunch for 11 people - plenty of seating available. We found everything we needed in the way of appliances, cooking gear and even special plates for the lobster dinner we served! This house's location made an easy trip to Nauset Beach and a short walk to the waters of Meeting House pond. a 5 minute drive puts you in the center of Orleans."
