  • Enjoyed our stay very much but . . .

"We had a wonderful family vacation there (8 adults, 4 children). Plenty of room, a nice back yard, terrific location, able to walk to stores, restaurants, and the pier, and easy access (by car) to a number of fine beaches. Also, clean and neat, plus the kitchen was well-stocked and the owners are very pleasant and willing to answer any questions you may have. But we were there during a hot week (great for the beach), and there is no AC and when it is hot the house is hot. Also, considering the "caretaker" is right next door I don't understand why there were so many lamps that did not work and why the screen door in the front had a huge whole in it and so we could not keep the front door open. Recommended."

  • Wonderful place for family and friends to stay...

"We stayed at this house for 9 days and wished we were able to have better weather since there is so much to do there....swimming off dock, kayaks to take out, great firepit for nightly gathering, and much more. We were only 2 people but the house is very large and many more are able to stay there. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the owners were available and ready to assist if needed, very nice people. So if anyone is looking for a place with water and trees and peaceful surroundings, this is it! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did and more!"

  • A week by the beach

"What a cute little apartment by the beach! We are a family of 4, kids are 3 and 4 and we couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation near the seashore. Located right in the National Seashore, a quick 5-10 minute walk to coast guard beach, this is a really cute place to stay while you enjoy Cape Cod. The cottage style apartment is equipped with everything you need to feel right at home on vacation. Everything from kitchen utensils, to coffee maker, to appliances. We definitely needed and used the washer dryer on this trip! The owners went out of their way to be welcoming and make sure we had everything. We could walk to the beach to watch the seals and jump in the waves. It's also a quick drive to the bay side to enjoy First Encounter Beach which was perfect for little kids during low tide. The Nauset lighthouse is about a mile away which made for a great morning run and also a fun family excursion to the top. (Tours in the late afternoon- check the schedule.) Arnold's was a classic takeaway place with mini golf and great fried food. Close by. The chocolate cafe is also close and has a purple truck that comes to the beaches and has the best ice cream sandwiches. Not to be missed. If you're hikers, I'd recommend the Marconi swamp trail which has boardwalks and an easy trail for little kids. Really an ideal location, sweet beach house and warm welcoming hosts."
