  • Great Location

"Very clean, comfortable, well stocked one room studio with everything you'll need and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach."

  • Fantastic house, we've already booked it for next year.

"This is the second year we've rented a place on Cape Cod for a family get-away. The last place was nice, but not set up exactly how we wanted it to be - our group is three couples and one child so we really need three rooms with double beds or larger, and one room for a child. This house really met our requirements. The bedroom configuration is great - each Master has it's own separate area and the two other rooms are also down a small corridor (though the corridor will get used by people going down into the basement). So lots of privacy. Our other requirements were: central A/C (which this house has, apart from one master bedroom which has a window unit), no pets, quiet street. This house hit all our requirements and then some. The kitchen is great, and so are the rest of the common areas, very clean and fresh. The outdoor spaces are large and well maintained. We didn't use the hot tub, but someone came to clean it while we were there so we're sure it works just fine. We used the fire pit almost every night. Next year, we plan to try to get someone to deliver some firewood so we don't have to keep running to the Stop and Shop. The gas grill worked nicely. If I was asked if anything could be done to improve the experience, I would offer two things: First, a couple of cotton blankets in the bedrooms would have been nice because comforters are kind of heavy for the summer. Second, a few comfy chairs would really help livability in the second master ( the one with three beds) and the room between the dining and living rooms. But this would just be icing on the cake for us - we loved this gorgeous house so much we're already looking forward to going back next year. I also wanted to mention that the owners are very responsive and helpful. We already received our security deposit back and we just left the place 5 days ago. The week was a great experience for all of us. Thank you!"

  • Peaceful Getaway!

"This was our second time renting at the Barley Neck area of Orleans. It is a beautiful place with bike and walking trails along the marshes and Nauset Beach being nearby, about 2 miles from this cottage. The pictures don't show how spacious the kitchen and dining room area really is and how it opens up to the living room. The room divider is a beautiful center chimney. The bedrooms are comfortable and cozy and the bunk house was peaceful and quiet, like being in a cabin. The yard is wonderfully landscaped in the front with English ivy defining the back yard. We loved the grill for meats and for grilling corn in the husk. The outdoor shower was hot and the Adirondack chairs were great for morning coffee time and after dinner relaxation. Nauset Farm stand was a short bike ride away for fresh food and vegetables. We were an eclectic group of parents with teenagers and an 11 year old and we all enjoyed this lovely cottage. It was hard to leave. Looking forward to another visit."

  • Wonderful Experience

"We just returned from a weeks stay at this property (725856) and our family had a wonderful time. The home owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating. They made the whole process run smoothly and attended to every detail. Their home is perfectly situated in/near the little East Orleans village. This location made it easy for our family to transition between our two favorite beaches, Nauset (for the ocean) and Skaket (for the bay)... not to mention it is only a short bike ride or walk from the best ice cream at Sundae School. The home is a cozy summer retreat nestled on a quiet tree lined lot on a beautiful road that felt private and very safe. Although it might not have all the modern amenities of a brand new home, it certainly makes up for it with rustic charm. The outside shower was fantastic for washing away the sunscreen and sand from a long day on the beach. I would certainly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing summer get away."
