  • Absolutely Perfect

"We stayed here with 2 adults and 4 kids and as good as it looks in the photos and the description, it was even better in reality, if that's possible. The condition and comfort of the house were wonderful, the size was perfect, and just about everything you could need is already there waiting for you. The location is ideal, close enough to the beach to walk whenever you'd like, close enough to drive for ice cream, and far enough from the rest of civilization to feel relaxed. We walked to the beach twice a day, the kids relaxed and played in the private yard, we all sat together every night, watched the birds, read and played games. No one wanted to go home."

  • Love this house, can't wait to go back!

"This house is spacious, comfortable, clean, and has all the amenities. The location is awesome, there is a beautiful and peaceful water view from the front porches and all of the front windows. We loved the large, open gourmet kitchen and living room area for gathering and relaxing. Also has nice separate den area if kids or others want to get away for some down time. This house is near the best bayside beach in Eastham, First Encounter Beach, and is also close to the bike path, Wiley Park (which the kids love for the playground and easy swimming), Herring Pond (fun for kayaking and swimming) and restaurants and shopping in Orleans. Sunset views from the house are amazing. Perfect Location. Also has AC, garage, outdoor shower, grill, back screened in porch...really everything you need to have an awesome and comfortable vacation on the Cape. We are looking forward to booking this house again next summer!"

  • Perfect cottage, comfortable, everything needed included

"This cottage was perfect for me ...it would have been perfect for two adults sharing a bedroom too, or even to include an additional guest or two, as the futon couch in living room opens up (there is also a tiny loft that would fit 1-2 little people if youre ok with them climbing up & down the ladder leading up there). It's very comfortable...cheery, open, lots of natural light, nice furniture with plenty of storage if you need it , and importantly, a very good mattress. The cottage is immaculately clean, has quality/new looking linens, including towels and beach towels , all the basics you need in the kitchen, nicely done bathroom, hair dryer, etc. While there is no oven, there is a toaster oven so you have that, the stovetop, plus microwave for cooking. There are even 2 bikes in an enclosure behind the cottage. If you're walking or on bikes you can walk along the sidewalk for 3 minutes to get to the side street and be on back roads. I'd definitely go back, it's a great value and you can see it's well cared for in every way. Susan K"

  • Affordable, pet friendly, centrally located

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Eastham. This rental was more than sufficient for a couple traveling with 2 Chihuahuas. We really only used the master bedroom, but the second bedroom is on the opposite end of the house with an ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom nearer to the master bedroom has not been updated in some time (it has a quirky old time aesthetic but the sink barely let out enough water to wash your hands). The second bathroom was recently updated, but less convenient to access from the living and master bedroom area. The house is adequately furnished, nothing fancy, a little worn. A couple of the dressers appeared to be well kept mid-century pieces. Limited cable TV. Bring your own DVDs if you want to watch TV. Bring your own games too. The house is well stocked with towels and linens. Access to laundry was helpful. Kitchen is stocked with the bare basics. We were fine cooking for two but I imagine if you are cooking and serving meals to a larger group you might find the kitchen supplies to be limited. As others have mentioned, the bed in the master bedroom is less than comfortable. It's squeaky and the plastic mattress cover is annoying. A portable air conditioner is provided for the master -- it is not powerful enough to cool the whole house. The owner provides a single key to the front door. It would have been nice to have a key to the garage door too, as this would have made moving groceries etc from the car to the kitchen easier. Ant traps galore!! I suppose this was good because we didn't see many ants indoors. However, given that we had 2 small dogs with us, we were cautious about the dogs finding the traps and eating them. We greatly enjoyed the location. One can easily access the Cape Cod Rail Trail and businesses in Eastham. Get your bikes at Little Capistrano bike rental. Be sure to check out the bay and ocean beaches. Ponds are nearby too. 4/5 - stars. The house is generally more utilitarian than attractive. It's the no-frills nature of the rental that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. The owners could easily turn this into a 5 star rental by servicing one of the bathrooms, replacing some of the living room furniture, perhaps getting another window A/C unit, perhaps putting in a fire pit or making the outdoor spaces more usable. Also, the kitchen supplies are definitely limited if you have a larger group. Appreciated that the house was stocked with paper towels and TP."
