  • A great find!!

"My husband and I stayed at the Sea Captain's home last week. We were greeted by Anne when we arrived. She was most kind and left us plenty of food for breakfasts (fruits, english muffins, butter, jam, cream for coffee, OJ, yogurt). That was awesome! the place was larger than I thought it would be. And very clean and comfortable. There is a library right next door. About 4 doors down is a little market. They also make sandwiches there. Across the street from there is an ice cream shop and a coffee shop. The ice cream shop closed for the season last week and the coffee shop will be open until October. There is coffee in the house, so you can make your own. Very close by is the entrance to the bike path. Biking to Woods Hole is 3.9 miles. It is paved and flat. If you are more adventurous, take your bike to Marthas vineyard and bike from Oaks Bluff to Edgartown and back to Oaks Bluff. Beautiful ride. The entire ride from the house is 26.5 miles! The Beach is also nearby. Downtown is about a ten minute ride. You won't find a better location if you are looking to bike and go to the beach. Would definitely stay here again."

"We so enjoyed the ease and comfort of this well appointed, tastefully decorated house and large seaside porch. A wonderfully equipted gourmet kitchen and large formal dining room, perfect for family parties, and veranda brunches. Many sandy beaches to choose for swimming close-by plus the private shared by 3 houses beach. Quissett is charming, several small harbors and a long pier for visiting boats to tie up. Away from the cape crowds & shopping. Spotted Osprey nest & many shore birds on conservation land walks. Thanks to thoughtful owners and their attention to details. Many seaside restaurants in near-by Wood's Hole."

  • Picture-Perfect Rental - Ideal Family Vacation

"This rental is nothing short of amazing. Ideally located in a beautiful part of West Falmouth, the house is a quick walk to the West Falmouth Market where you can buy ANYTHING (meats for grilling, local produce, gourmet snacks, baked goods, wine/beer/liquor, and even diapers!), across the street from a delicious ice cream parlor & cute café, and 1.5 miles from the BEST beach on the Cape (Old Silver). I spent summers on Cape Cod when I was growing up, and wanted to share the magic with my children as well. Our family vacation at Linda & James’ home could not have been more perfect. We spent our days at the beach, enjoying ice cream & the carousel in Falmouth center, and exploring the area. At night, we checked out some great restaurants (thanks to the well-thought out suggestions provided by our gracious hosts), ate lots of ice cream, and enjoyed the local scenery on the charming front steps of the house. Proximity to the delights of Cape Cod aside, Linda and James provided the most perfect atmosphere and environment for our family. The house is incredibly spacious (there were three bedrooms we didn’t even use), clean, and well-kept. There were baby gates by the stairs (excellent if you have a 1.5 year old), extra beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, and even a jogging stroller in the shed! The dvd collection is quite impressive (and helpful every once in awhile when the children are exhausted from the beach), the toys in the den were a huge hit, and my three year old was even more excited to be on vacation when she saw the Little Mermaid bedspread in one of the rooms upstairs. In essence, Linda & James catered to our every need, without even knowing it. Their thoughtfulness is evident in the way the keep their home and treat their renters. From the outside shower (which was great after the beach) to the central air to the breakfast nook to the delightful back deck, everything about this home is sheer perfection. Linda and James clearly know how what their guests need and want, and I have no problem saying, to date, that this trip was the absolute best vacation I have ever had. Linda was a joy to work with and very quick to respond to any questions that came up and I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone else looking for the quintessential Cape Code getaway."

  • Everything and more!

"We loved our stay at this house! The house had everything we needed and more and was emaculate. The kids loved playing in the yard (especially seeing all the bunnies). The beach was perfect for the whole family and just a short walk from the house. The beach cart that was provided came in handy! The pool was very relaxing and everyone at the clubhouse was very friendly. Main Street was just a short drive and had plenty of shopping and restaurants. We also took a drive (about 25 mins) to Nobska Lighthouse. The views were spectacular! The only negative is that we can't live at this house all summer long! We will definitely be booking again next summer and recommend others to stay here as well."
