  • WONDERFUL RENTAL!

"The house was absolutely wonderful and as described. The owners were great communicators and everything in the house worked wonderfully. We enjoyed our walks to Skaket beach, being able to bring our dog, eating at the Jailhouse, eating on the screened in porch, sitting in the Adirondack chairs, using the fire pit, watching tv/movies, and playing monopoly. We loved that it could easily fit to separate parties and had two very separate bathrooms both with showers. I plan on definitely staying at this rental again in the future and everyone in our party of four plus one dog really enjoyed it."

  • This place is a gem as is the owner!

"My husband and I stayed in this cottage on our first trip to Cape Cod as part of a month-long retirement trip. We just loved our stay in this cottage! The property is situated on a bluff overlooking a huge tidal creek. Views were just awesome, and watching the tidal changes was a daily treat - the "creek" empties out almost entirely at low tide, exposing an aquafarming section (fascinating), and at high tide provides outstanding opportunities for kayaking. There were ample places to sit and enjoy the views including the front porch. Access to the water & kayaks was via a very well constructed stairs designed to minimize steepness. Sunsets were spectacular! The cottage was perfect for us: the kitchen was modest, but gave us all that we needed; the bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. (I will say that although we are in our early 60's and did fine, there is no bathroom on the 2nd floor, so be aware of that). We woke up every morning to the beautiful view through the large window in the front bedroom. Downstairs also comfortable, though we spent most of our time, including meals, on the porch where you might see a sudden drama of squirrels escaping a hawk, lots of chipmunks, and wild turkeys stroll up over the bluff and stop in the yard to eat. Nearby Wellfleet is not a big tourist-y looking town, and it has lots of charm. It is on a harbor and there are picturesque places all around, "Uncle Timothy's bridge" over a small tidal creek, the pier to the harbor, lovely beaches, ponds to swim in (when it was too windy on the beach) little "main street" theatreand lots of places to eat good food around the area. Within 20-30 minutes, you can drive to the National Park, Truro and Provincetown; the Audubon Sanctuary is right in Wellfleet. To us, this property was perfectly situated. We had a spectacular whale watching cruise out of P-town. At beaches near Wellfleet, seals were abundant at high tide and came very close to shore for great viewing. One of the BEST parts of our stay was getting to know the owner whose house was also on the property. Linda was a friendly, terrific host who will give you privacy as well as being receptive to you sitting with her and hearing the history of her family and the property. We enjoyed her friendship and humor tremendously! Just can't say enough about how getting to know Linda enhanced the enjoyment of our stay. Can't imagine why we'd stay anywhere else on Cape Cod and only wish we had planned to stay longer."

  • Perfect Family Vacation Venue

"This historic and architecturally interesting home is perfectly located for all activity on Cape Cod. Our family of 14, ranging from 2 to 70 years old, loved this place. The large and pleasant home feels comfortable as soon as you step through the door. The owner is gracious and extremely responsive. Every need was accommodated from the time we made our reservation to the time we checked out. The lovely little beach, within a stone's throw, is wonderful for small children. The yard is expansive, allowing sports of all kinds. Access to the bike/jogging/hiking trail is very close. Downtown Falmouth is a short stroll away, and the Ferry Terminals in Woods Hole and Falmouth are very convenient to the islands. You will not be disappointed if you stay here."

  • Great space, convenience

"We had a great time staying in this roomy accommodation. It provided good access to all parts of Woods Hole on foot, including beaches, the center of town, and the bike path. The accommodation was spacious and convenient for large family gatherings. It was well equipped, making cooking a pleasure. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet during the time we were there at the end of the summer, adding to the enjoyment."
