  • Beautiful home and great for families

"Each year my family and our best friends head to the Cape for our annual summer vacation. We normally stay in Orleans, but this year we were not able to stay in the house that we normally get since the week we needed wasn't available. Between our two families, we have 5 children and obviously needed a home that would fit us all. Luckily we came across Erin's home in East Harwich, and the house itself has a bunch of room plus the property is great for kids. It is in a really nice neighborhood, with a great yard to play in and street to ride bikes. The house is very convenient to shopping, restaurants, golf, beaches and right off of Rt. 6 at exit 11. We used the back deck every night and the farmer's porch is one of the nicest I have seen. We couldn't get enough of that porch in the mornings or afternoons. The bugs at night can be a bit much, but that's how it goes for the entire Cape. It’s just something you have to deal with. However, we have had a very dry summer and the bugs this year were not too bad at all. The central air in the house works excellent and there is a separate unit in each bedroom which is a really nice feature to have. Working with Erin on the lease was very simple and she was very responsive and nice to talk with on the phone or texting. I would highly recommend this home to others and wish we were still there. One week on the Cape is never enough! Tommy D."

  • My Mother in Law Loved the Place

"My mother in law has spent summer weeks on the Cape for decades. This is property is now top on her list. Extremely well appointed, very spacious, and exceptionally well maintained. The kitchen is especially well designed for large group meals. Good counter space with the BBQ just outside on the deck. Having two levels to hang out is awesome for groups that want to watch different shows (2 TVs) or play pool while watching. All beds are very comfortable and AC and evaporator are a plus for those of you who do not sleep well on humid summer nights. Proximity to beach is great, and the combination of a large mud room and proximity to the Rail Trail make this place a bikers heaven. If you calculate the cost on a per person basis, this house is exceptional value."

  • Wonderful, calm, relaxing

"The house is absolutely warm and inviting. We were there with our 4-month-old, and there was plenty of space for her to lay around and play. The kitchen opens to the dining area and living room--a nice open floor plan. It's neat, nicely decorated, and fully stocked with anything you might need to cook a great New England dinner. The backyard is lovely. Lots of room if you have a big group or want to entertain. The location is fantastic. We walked everyday to Buck's Pond, and explored the other little towns by car. (Don't miss Chatham!) The owners keep beach and water toys in the basement that you can use. It's a perfect "getaway" kind of house with everything in working order. The *only* reason we give four stars is because there is no AC, which I think is actually pretty common in the Cape. Having never visited before, we were unprepared for the intensity of the heat and humidity (it was a July vacation), and had to gerry-rig the fans to keep the bedroom cool at night. Other than that, we had a lovely time."

  • Great Location

"The house was great. Great location and very close to beaches. We went to Bank St., Earle St., Sea St., and Red River. All were clean and beautiful. Our favorite was Earle St. The town was a short walk with some great bakeries. We took a ferry to Martha's Vineyard and also a drive to Newport , RI. Very close to Chatham beaches, shops and food. The only two things I would change about the house would be to add a TV in the upstairs bedroom and air conditioning to the upstairs. While it was very comfortable downstairs, the first 4 days we were there it was extremely hot and no matter how many fans and open windows we had upstairs it was too warm to sleep. Aside from that I would recommend staying here and we will definitely be back. Also the owner Mary Kate was a pleasure to work with. The Marcus Family, East Windsor, NJ."
