  • Quintessential Cape Cod Experience

"Our family and friends (Six Adults and Two Children) absolutely loved our experience staying at the Briggs House. We'd stayed at the Chatham Bars Inn in 2015, and wanted room for friends and more value so we ventured here. Coming from NYC, my three year old was thrilled with the football field of grass out back and we loved being able to walk to the center of town, multiple beaches and the Chatham Bars Inn Resort. As said in another review, this is a family home, its not appointed like a rental. It felt much more like having your favorite aunt/uncle allow you a week at at their Cape House. Robert couldn't have been better to deal with. We will definitely be back"

  • Excellent!

"We have been renting this property since 2011 for our annual 2-week vacation in Cape Cod and have become addicted to its comforts and facilities. We have found it highly user-friendly. It is about a mile from the nearest beach, which is what we prefer to any house right on the beach. The Cornfield, where the Blue Door is located, is a quiet lane off Route 28 and the town center is a short drive away or a pleasant mile-long walk which we often take. A seafood store is a 3-minute walk from the cottage. Our children and grandchildren love the place and its surroundings with its spacious patches of green at the back and front. We have not met the owner personally but have always found her to be most gracious and helpful when contacted through email or phone, (unlike the somewhat indifferent owner of another place we had rented in 2015 when the Blue Door had not been available). We hope to rent the Blue Door many times in the years to come."

  • July stay

"We vacationed here with a group of 7, all ages. The house was well equipped, and the sleeping arrangements worked out. The house can get hot, but there are air conditioners in the bedrooms. The deck, and grill are wonderful. We cooked lobster in the house two times and everything we needed to do that was there. We went to the National seashore to do our beaching, expect for low tide when we went to the Eastham beaches. Kathy had all the info you would ever need for activities, eating and general house info. Lovely stay."

  • Beautiful Fall Get-Away

"We rented this house for a week in Oct. for a much-needed get-away for my husband, myself, our 2 daughters &sons-in-law.and new grandchild.Unfortunately,my one daughter & husband had a wedding that week in CA so couldn't make it.But this house was absolutely perfect for us,giving us all our "space" and privacy when we wanted it,and together time when we wanted it.We gave our daughter,son-in-law and their baby the upstairs,(they got the better deal!:)) because it was easy access to the wonderful kitchen, dining area for them to feed the baby. But it was nice each couple had their own bathroom on a different level. We had absolutely spectacularly warm weather. We had so much fun kayaking, and yes, even grandma did it! My daughter and son-in-law paddled out to the island, and loved it. The water was warm, and my daughter tried the stand-up-paddleboard,though with not too much success! We barbecued on the beautiful, spacious deck with a spectacular view.We watched the people at dawn at low tide out in the bay, clamming,I guess? We played some of the many board games at night, that I haven't played in eons.We marveled at how the bay changed with the tides. Everything we needed to cook was right there.Howie is quick to respond to any questions, and easy,no-stress to deal with. This is a beautiful little corner of the world, and though we've always visited the cape in the fall,I would now like to visit in the summer, also when everything is open."
