  • A charming place in an excellent location.

"The house dates from 1826 and is very charming. It is a 2 minute walk to Main St and all the restaurants etc of Chatham. The owners were very nice people and very attentive without being intrusive. We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed our time in Chatham and found the accommodation met our needs well. Highly recommended. We liked the atmosphere of The Squire. Tip - phone first to get on the waiting list. Not as keen on the Goose. We found the Chatham Market to be very expensive for groceries. Instead we used the Stop and Shop a few miles away."

  • Charmer

"We did a last minute 2 day trip to Chatham. As it happened this delightful, charming, cozy cottage was available for the days we were there. It was a very comfortable, well appointed cottage, far better than any hotel room. The location is very close to town, about a mile (a perfect walk) from Lighthouse beach. If you choose, you can park your car & walk to everything. Our favorite room was the porch. We had coffee there in the mornings & read there in the afternoon. Tom made the process very easy. Actually, I have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience! We will return..."

  • Classic Outer Cape, a magical place.

"My in laws and my brother in law's family were extremely comfortable here with two little ones (4 and 6 mo) in tow as they visited my husband and me from far away. Our only regret was that we did not stay longer. The house is clearly the work of many years of rest and fun on the cape. Beautiful, artistic touches in the design and furnishings and a simple back in time experience (this is not the place for those who don't appreciate "simple" or "back in time"- fortunately we all very much do!). The breezes flow rapidly through the living areas, making you feel integrated with the woods outside. The porch is huge and the view beautiful. People can spread out and disappear or join each other in the cheerful living room. Great books on Cape Cod lore to browse and a thoughtful introduction in the house folder. This home was exactly was we hoped for- more actually. It gave a sense of being tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the quiet nature and artistic communion of the Outer Cape. A gorgeous beach is down the road, and plenty of good food (fish markets, drives to PB Boulangerie, the Bookstore, Napi's). Provincetown is close enough to be very convenient as well. What a special place. We were all sad to leave- perhaps four year old Millie being saddest. After whale watching and listening to whale songs, beach and romping on the fun orange pillow-chair, and eating ice cream in bustling Provincetown, she wasn't at all ready to head back to Texas. Thank you for sharing your cherished family home with us for the weekend. We felt like it was ours too- what a treat. Tip- bring a travel crib or pack n play for small babies. We were glad we did. And check pollen levels when planning your stay- the entire Cape was abloom! Although we didn't care one bit. I highly recommend this place as long as you don't nudge me out of a chance to stay again!"
