  • Great House, Spacious, and Relaxing.

"We had a great stay. We were doing a destination Family reunion. We ended up arriving early and the contact person bent over backwards to accommodate and let us in. House had plenty of sleeping quarters and was very kid friendly offering Xbox, Legos, and other toys. We also had plenty of linens and access to even more. House was very clean and had everything we needed. It even offered two separate laundry rooms which was great as we had clothes and beach towels to wash. We texted manager to ask where there were some extra paper towels, and even though we told him not to, he made a special trip to bring us some and even brought some freezepops for the kids. Would recommend and hope to be back next year. There was also a Pocasset Country Market nearby that had everything we needed. Also Somerset Creamery is a must. Homemade Ice Cream definitely worth waiting in line for!"

  • Fabulous home away from home vacation!

"Our family of 11 (8 adults, a 17-yr old & 2 8-yr olds) just returned from a fabulous Cape Cod vacation and this house was a big part of making the trip a success. The view when you first walk into the house is breath taking! The open layout of this house, located in a quiet neighborhood, provided more than adequate sleeping & living space. We jogged, walked, swam, fished & played tennis at the HOA courts. Most days were hot & muggy until mid-afternoon so we were happy for the AC. The kitchen is well equipped - we are cooks and prepared brunch most days and dinner 3 nights, including a lobster boil. The full sized washer & dryer were appreciated. Our favorite features were the upper deck & the pool. The deck furnishings made this a comfortable place to hangout. We began most mornings on the deck with a pot of tea/coffee making plans for the day. In the evening we gathered again to share our day adventures and to enjoy the beginning of the Perseid's meteor showers. Our little boys, up at the crack of dawn, especially loved the pool! The house is located minutes from the Bourne bridge so we were not fighting traffic. The location is convenient for traveling to most parts of the Cape - Woods Hole, Falmouth, Chatham, Sandwich, Truro (golfing) and day trips to Boston & Newport RI. Plenty of good restaurants & pubs nearby. We recommend large grocery shopping in Falmouth and the Pocasset Country Market to restock. The owners were easy to work with throughout the entire rental process. They were very responsive to e-mails and texts - answering questions throughout the months leading up to our vacation and during our week in the house. Our family would return to Irene's Landing in a minute and we highly recommend this property to others looking for a home away from home vacation!"

  • cant beat this place!

"I rented out this house for 17 people for a weekend getaway and it exceeded our expectations in every way! The house is much larger than in the pictures And had plenty of space. Even with 17 people, it never felt cramped. The owner was extremely easy to work with and very friendly and helpful which put me at ease when planning for such a large group. The walk to the beach was very easy and the beach wasn't crowded at all and the water was warm. There are tons of restaurants nearby and the house is close to the Bourne bridge which made for a very easy commute coming on and off the cape. The outdoor patio area was great to sit outside and enjoy the weather. It was hot during the day but we had brought fans and after the sun went down it cooled off tremendously. Overall, this was a great weekend and the house is perfect for large groups it was even better than I imagined. I strongly suggest renting this house out and will be coming back in the future!"

  • Worth the Wait!

"Our family and out of town friend spent all summer looking forward to this vacation and it was so worth the wait. The island is special and the house is situated in a location that provides early morning sunrises and gorgeous evening sunsets over the water. When we weren't kayaking or boating to the sandy public beach, we spent hours playing bocce, enjoying the outdoor seating, especially the hammock for me, and cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. I have to echo the previous reviews, Rod and Murphy are fantastic hosts, going so above and beyond in welcoming guests to the island. Pack light, we didn't follow that advice and it was a mistake. Truly, the house has everything you could need in terms of linens, towels, staples, bug spray, games and beach and lawn toys. Check it out first before you load up on food supplies beyond a day or two, the information binder has all the information you need for nearby shopping. The boats are pretty easy to handle and the ride is lovely. Beds are really comfortable and ceiling fans everywhere, so delightful sleeping. Lots of privacy and quiet areas to sneak away with a book. This is a unique and extraordinary vacation spot!"
