  • Wonderful location and plenty of room!

"At the last minute we were trying to plan an escape with the whole family after graduations and before starting jobs. What a lucky find this house was. The location is fantastic on a side street next to the Daniel Webster Inn directly across from the library and walkable to the Shawnee Pond, Dunbar Tea House, Brown Jug, Beth's Bakery, and a few cute shops on Jarvis Street. Sandwich has so much to offer and this home itself was a serene retreat due to the babbling brook in the backyard and sweeping lawn and perennial gardens. Lots of birds including an egret that briefly landed in a tree by the brook as if on schedule. The kitchen is bright and sunny and well outfitted. The linens and towels are plenty as are many books and movies in the event of a rainy day. My husband actually put the kayak in the brook and paddled out to the Boardwalk although on the way back due to high tide he had to exit before the underpass on River Rd. Great House! Great Location!"

  • Perfect for our family

"We just got back home from from our week long vacation here at the ocean & I am still looking at the photos of our ocean village rental ~still "honeymooning" over our stay my family experienced here in Maushop Village. The condo is an end unit (though it did not feel at all like it was a condo for it was very private and like a cozy home) with beautiful views of the ocean, as well as the picturesque cottage village with flower gardens everywhere! The photos of the rental were attractive, but can not prepare you for the actual beauty & experience of this treasure along the Nantucket Sound. The owners are very helpful & responsive to any need, they have tastefully & thoughtfully decorated the house and added surprise areas of literature to enjoy & an assortment of family games. FYI- the binoculars that were found among the interests were a favorite to use at the beach & the whale watch! We walked to the Market Place with our 4 & 6 yr olds, enjoyed live music and excellent seafood, icecream & boutique shopping! We made memories that will last a lifetime and had me wishing my Dad were here with me. We hope to be back next season! Thank you!!"

  • Absolutely perfect

"My girlfriend and I just returned from this cottage. It's on the quiet west end, away from the crowds, but a short walk from all the action. This place is paradise. Tucked back about 30 feet from the sand but with direct beach access and gorgeous views of the harbor, it's ideal for two people. And Lyn is about a cool as an owner can be. She gave us some great restaurant recommendations and she's also prepared a guest book that has more information in it than any website you can find. It can be a little daunting renting a place online, but my advice is don't think; just pull the trigger on this place. You won't regret it. We'll be back there next year, for sure."
