  • Easy, comfortable place with beaches nearby

"Some of the best things with this house? Awesome WiFI, which was super important as my husband had to work most days. The beach chairs, boogie boards and coolers were also SUPER GREAT. That stuff takes up too much room in the car so we never pack it-- but it made the daily beach trips that much more enjoyable. The air conditioning was NECESSARY and APPRECIATED, since we were there when temps were hitting the 90s and the humidity level was high. Thank god we had that for nighttime! And the close access to so many beaches made it perfect. It was about 5 minutes from pulling out of the driveway to LeCount Hollow ocean beach. Only wish our schedules could have allowed for a longer stay! Thanks!"

  • Felt Right At Home

"We recently returned from a fabulous two-week vacation at this home. First, I want to commend the owner for his hospitality. From my very first inquiry, the owner was very responsive. Next I want to highlight the pleasant environment both inside and outside this house. The home is set back in the woods on a corner lot. Every room has large windows that look out onto this country-like environment. The windows provided great ventilation on warm days. When the weather got very hot, there were box fans to position in front of each window which cooled the house down quickly. And when things cooled down, we were very appreciative of the extra comforters provided for our use. For us one of the best features of the home was its open layout and comfortable furnishings. When our adult children joined us for one of the weeks, the living and dining areas easily accommodated our group of six. The casual dining table, umbrella table on the deck, and the comfortable living room couch and chairs provided great areas to gather around. Highly recommend."

  • Perfect Place for a Cape Vacation for 2

"My wife and I rented the Roadhouse Cottage and found it cozy, comfortable, and clean. However, the best part of this vacation was the location. The Roadhouse is conveniently located so that you can walk to several good restaurants (Blue Willow, the Bistro) and hiking trails, is within a stones throw of the Cape Cod Bike Trail, and is just a half mile from a beautiful beach. There are also many attraction nearby within a 10 to 20 minute drive. Highly Recommend!!"

  • The Joy in the Details

"The cottage was well furnished to accommodate 5 kids (1.5, 4, 5, 11, 15) and 5 adults. The description is right about the bayside home was done with the guest in mind. The amenities alone are worth staying here above other vacation homes – having access to beach towels, beach umbrellas, coolers, beach chairs etc. is one less thing to think about. The cottage offered plenty for everyone to do without having to revert to watching television or sitting on smartphones/ computers. The energetic inquisitive developing minds took daily walks to the nearby Fox Marsh where they had an endless experience with the sights and sound of the Marsh especially the fiddle crabs arousing various reactions to the friendly and kind people walking their dogs. Others took to playing hide and seek in the yard while others played a game of Jumbo ball – think Wiffle ball just with a jumbo bat and bigger ball. The location of the cottage made outings to Mayo beach and Marconi Beach effortless. The layout of the house allowed for moments of serenity where one could sit with a book or enjoy the silence of the great outdoors and comradery where everyone could come together to play a game or hang out. Of the places we have stayed as a family this has been the most relaxing and feel good Cape Cod vacation home. At the end of the day being out and about it was assuring to come back and recharge at the cottage. While we experienced a thunder and lightning storm the night before we left and had a shock of the fire alarm going off around 11 after the house was quiet it still does not take away from the lovely time we had at the cottage."
