  • wonderful, charming, perfectly located home

"We loved our stay at the Lena Coleman apartment in Ship's Light! We could walk to everything Chatham has to offer, just two quiet blocks away from the main shopping/dining strip, and a 15-20 minute walk to Chatham lighthouse beach with its sandbar seals or to the fishing pier. The house showed so many thoughtful touches, from the string of white lights that allowed soft lighting in the bedroom to the custom cushions on the window seat. The cozy eat-in kitchen had everything we needed, and personally I loved the immaculate antique sink. We enjoyed waking up to rain pattering on our slanted ceilings one morning, and on a sunnier day having a glass of wine on the deck off the bedroom. We also appreciated the access to laundry in the garage. Thank you to the owners for creating such a wonderful space!"

  • Everything was perfect! Every possible need thought out and provided. Highest recommendations!

"The house is truly lovely. Lots of room. The big screened-in porch overlooking the lawn and gardens made the perfect place to sit with your morning tea and evening glass of wine. The house is a short walk into town and yet is completely private and secluded. We had a wonderful stay. Many thanks!"

  • Best View & Lovely Home

"In our opinion best view on the Cape. We look forward each year to just sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee and feel the tension of everyday stresses back home slipping away after just a short time here. Our daughter since she has learned to walk knows that the beach is just a short walk ( or in her case now - run) away, and is excited when we pull in to what she thinks of as her house and "her beach". At night a thousand stars are visible and we have loved pointing out the big dipper while listening to waves. The house is light and airy. John, the owner has always been quick to respond to questions or booking. I almost hesitate to write a review to have our favorite getaway not be our secret any more. In season this must be the place to BE with the Beachcomber just a short walk."
