  • Lovely place, much thought given to renters' stay/needs

"I just returned from a week at this lovely house. As the photos show, it and its location and view are spectacular. It was amazingly peaceful and beautiful - the wind in the pines, the view of the marsh as the tide changed, the flocks of swallows at dusk ...My old dog and I walked down the path behind the house or the road to the lovely bay beach at least once a day (and drove elsewhere to explore other lovely places nearby). The path itself was lovely and at the beach, there were tidal pools and sandbars and serious clammers, and the water was warm enough to walk barefoot in. I knew from the photos (and having seen the house in person last spring) that the house was gorgeous but did not then know of the care, attention and anticipation of guests' needs that the owners give. The house was fully stocked with anything you might need, including several thoughtful additions like a small stereo, tons of beach toys/chairs, appliances and utensils and kitchenware (all high end/quality), spices (including my favorite Saigon Cinnamon for adding to coffee), a bucket for washing your sandy feet before entering the house, a book on local/similar houses in the area and their amazing architects, etc. It was chilly weather, as expected during a mostly cloudy late September week, but small space heaters were provided and were helpful. The rental price was an incredible value; the house, like a home (an extra nice one); and one of the owners was immediately responsive anytime I had a question (beginning last May when I first saw the house listing. I did not need/use the lower level but it was much nicer than I expected (for any lower level and given some other comments about the humidity), and I would certainly stay down there if I had guests (like children or older folks) for whom it would be better to stay on the main level. I'd return to this house in a heartbeat and very much hope I can and do."

  • Wonderful family vacation spot

"We just returned from a Labor Day vacation with our kids and grandkids. The house was a perfect fit for us. There was privacy and big rooms for all of us to hang out. The location is ideal - just steps from the beginning (or end) of the CC Rail Trail, a 20+ mile long biking, running, strolling trail away from traffic. The beach is 1/2 mile down the road. There are plenty of restaurants, bike rentals in the area. The house was furnished nicely, the WiFi worked well, there were enough plates, silverware, chairs etc for a large family meal. We highly recommend!. Thank you, Jeff and Lauren!"

  • Best summer vacation rental ever

"Three generations of our family from ages 12-84 (11 of us at the height, with room for more) stayed at this amazing house for a week and were over the moon about its estate-like qualities. The house is secluded at the top of a dirt road. The owners provided extraordinary amenities, comforts, resources and customer service. They seem to have every game ever made over the decades, even poker chips, several monopoly sets, balls galore, boogie boards. They responded instantly to any little question we had. Because the house is unusually spacious and privately laid out, none of us were ever in each other's way. The interior is gleamingly modern and sparkling clean, the sleeping arrangements outstanding. (We took extra showers just to use the marvelous water jets!) We all "lived" out on the largest, most perfect deck any of us had ever seen, and went around to the smaller back deck for sunset-watching each evening, overlooking acres and acres of breathtaking nature we never knew existed in Wellfleet even though we've been to the town over fifty years. This place is a gem."
