  • Two thumbs up!

"Such a wonderful 2 weeks in this awesome house! Our family was very comfortable in this clean and well appointed home! The AC in each room was very much appreciated for the extra hot days, and the outdoor shower was a bonus! And thank you to the owner John, who was the most accommodating and responsive landlord we have dealt with yet as seasoned renters on the Cape!"

  • A Vacation Haven Like No Other!

"Firstly, let me just say that my family & I were so impressed with everything about our stay, that I couldn't possible find a negative thing about this beautiful vacation spot we were so lucky to come upon When we first arrived at the "Hidden Gem" ( a name well deserved) as it was a bit of a challenge to find, at first since it's tucked away of a hill only 5 minutes from the main road. Once you find it, its easy to navigate. When we arrived Theresa greeted us with such warm hospitality, I knew we were in for a real treat! Theresa was also very professional as she had a well detailed handbook, which had everything we needed to know about the house & property; additionally, it contained several recommendations such as beaches, restaurants, places of interest ie National Seashore, etc etc ( too many to mention here) This was truly a big help (though she was always available a phone call away to answer any questions we might have.) Theresa spent a good hour giving us a tour of the entire home. Let me just say it met every expectation from inside & out. From the majestic grounds to her very comfortably & tastefully decorated home. The kitchen was very special- had a lovely French inspired feeling to it . Also, the rooms seemingly flowed from one to the next which made for a very warm setting with a large family crowd. All the bedroom & bathrooms were large & tastefully designed. We loved the cathedral ceilings too. Oh, and did I say the central air was just right touch after a long day spent at the beach and a little too much sun exposure for some of us. We also loved the convenience of the outside enclosed shower stall to wash away the sand and nearby large grill which we would "fire up" right after our showers to then enjoy a great barbecue which ended the day. Oh, and Theresa's herb garden was a great addition to our cooking family meals...and right at your fingertips which was thoughtfully planted next to the grill. Everything was perfectly thought out! Of course, all the bedrooms & bathrooms were equally & tastefully done..BEDS were very comfortable too. ( important when not sleeping in your own.) I tell you this was the best vacation weve had in years.. Were definitely returning next summer and I would highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone looking for a memorable & enjoyable vacation."

  • Cozy, charming cottage, great locatiion

"Our family of four loved staying at Rich and Adrienne's impeccably maintained home. The location is perfect- walking distance to 2 ponds, and a quick drive or bike ride to ocean beaches and into town. Though close to everything, it is hidden away at the end of a dirt road and feels private and secluded. We hope to return!"

  • This place is a gem as is the owner!

"My husband and I stayed in this cottage on our first trip to Cape Cod as part of a month-long retirement trip. We just loved our stay in this cottage! The property is situated on a bluff overlooking a huge tidal creek. Views were just awesome, and watching the tidal changes was a daily treat - the "creek" empties out almost entirely at low tide, exposing an aquafarming section (fascinating), and at high tide provides outstanding opportunities for kayaking. There were ample places to sit and enjoy the views including the front porch. Access to the water & kayaks was via a very well constructed stairs designed to minimize steepness. Sunsets were spectacular! The cottage was perfect for us: the kitchen was modest, but gave us all that we needed; the bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. (I will say that although we are in our early 60's and did fine, there is no bathroom on the 2nd floor, so be aware of that). We woke up every morning to the beautiful view through the large window in the front bedroom. Downstairs also comfortable, though we spent most of our time, including meals, on the porch where you might see a sudden drama of squirrels escaping a hawk, lots of chipmunks, and wild turkeys stroll up over the bluff and stop in the yard to eat. Nearby Wellfleet is not a big tourist-y looking town, and it has lots of charm. It is on a harbor and there are picturesque places all around, "Uncle Timothy's bridge" over a small tidal creek, the pier to the harbor, lovely beaches, ponds to swim in (when it was too windy on the beach) little "main street" theatreand lots of places to eat good food around the area. Within 20-30 minutes, you can drive to the National Park, Truro and Provincetown; the Audubon Sanctuary is right in Wellfleet. To us, this property was perfectly situated. We had a spectacular whale watching cruise out of P-town. At beaches near Wellfleet, seals were abundant at high tide and came very close to shore for great viewing. One of the BEST parts of our stay was getting to know the owner whose house was also on the property. Linda was a friendly, terrific host who will give you privacy as well as being receptive to you sitting with her and hearing the history of her family and the property. We enjoyed her friendship and humor tremendously! Just can't say enough about how getting to know Linda enhanced the enjoyment of our stay. Can't imagine why we'd stay anywhere else on Cape Cod and only wish we had planned to stay longer."
