  • Lovely Cape Cod Stay

"My wife, our 2 and 4 year old and me have just come back from a lovely week at Eileen's house in Cape Cod. We live in the UK and so we don't know Cape Cod particularly well but we had a great time - thank you so much for opening the house to us. The property was very much as stated on HomeAway with all the facilities and amenities listed. Eileen has clearly rented for a while as she was also able to provide comprehensive and really helpful guidance and advice around things to do in the area (restaurants, visits, ice cream stops! etc). She was always very responsive and friendly from the time of enquiry up until the day we left and made our trip nice and easy. The beach pass gave us access to some really nice local private beaches which all four of us really enjoyed and the pool was lovely and warm and well gated off for a family like us (with two little ones...). The property was lovely and clean and while we did not take enough advantage of all the outdoor cooking and dining options given the age of the kids and the fact they are located quite near the pool, we would look forward to returning in years to come for more relaxing in the sun. Thanks Eileen and hopefully we will come back one day!"

  • Comfortable and Close to Everything

"I will start out by saying I did not go to Cape Cod for a vacation or retreat. I came to the Cape to be close to the hospital and for my sister. We were fortunate to find this home and it provided everything we needed for solace and comfort. We arrived mid-March and stayed until the end of June. While there were a couple of hiccups which can happen with any property, the homeowners assessed and addressed the issues very quickly. They were an absolute joy to work with and very lovely and kind. The home is close to Sandy Neck beach (a new favorite of mine) as well as the Village of Barnstable which is full of charm and wonderful people. Be sure to visit the Blue Plate Diner in town for a delicious breakfast, the best cup of decaf coffee I've had out, and friendly wait staff. We didn't do many tourist activities but found beautiful paths to walk and other wonderful restaurants, including Amari on 6A, JD's Burger - both in Sandwich. Also, I spent time doing Bikram yoga (for the first time) which is in walking distance to the home and found a new respect for yoga. The home is conveniently located and equipped with all you could need. When the day came to leave, I closed the door behind me feeling a bit melancholy. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay."

  • Pleasant vacation home a walk from the beach.

"Our extended family of 8 enjoyed this airy, clean, well appointed home. Sandy Neck Beach is just a short walk away, as are the trails beside the Great Marsh and among the dunes. The owners were informative and helpful, and all was as advertised. Be advised, however, that renters 7 and 8 must sleep in an open loft, which has the futon and sleeping chair. (The photos make it seem there's a fourth bedroom, but it's just one bedroom shown twice). The outdoor shower, by the way, is on the back of the house and easy to miss, but it has both hot and cold water. Ample chairs and beach towels are provided. We loved the open patio, and the surrounding trees and hedges do a good job of blocking the noise of the steady traffic on Sandy Neck Road. The kitchen has all the utensils you need; the wi-fi is fast and convenient, the TV features Infinity channels and is only slightly tricky to use, and the furnishings are well-selected and comfortable. Amari Restaurant, just 5 minutes away, is reasonable and serves good food. We enjoyed playing miniature golf in Sandwich, snorkeling at Dennis Beach, and swimming in the waves at Marconi Beach, just 25 minutes away on Route 6. The Barnstable Market has a full stock of groceries, and a deli that features pizza and great luncheon sandwiches made while you wait. Plus, their employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. If our group had been 6 instead of 8, our rating would be five stars. The house is just slightly small for a party of 8, especially if they don't all go to bed and get up at the same times."
