  • Three Great Unforgettable Weeks

"Hello John, We have just returned home from our vacation - we traveled through Berkshires, Amherst and Northampton - just wanted to see a different part of Massachusetts. Thank you for letting us use your cottage - we spent three great unforgettable weeks there. It's a lovely, charming place, with great decor, quintessentially "Cape"; among things that we loved most were the library (great selection of books!) and the antique lamps. It's very well equipped and comfortable - we truly felt at home there. We had great beach weather almost every day; when it got busier and more crowded on weekends, we made short sightseeing trips to Boston and Providence (we fell in love with Providence). The location is so convenient - close to everything. I hope we will be able to return in the future. Thank you for your hospitality and your help with all the details. I hope everything was in order when we left."

  • Highly recommended comfortable home

"The net is that we really felt comfortable at Woodchip. We cooked nearly every night at the house and were very pleased with the fully equiped kitchen. There was a handheld mixer, a mini food processor, and bbq grill which we actually used. Those are not things that we have found at other house rentals. The house was larger than we expected and felt very spacious. We felt relaxed in the evening watching Netflix on the couch after spending time at the nearby beaches. While we did walk to the Crosby Lane beach one day, it took us about 35 minutes. But we knew that it would take a while, but just wanted to point out the walking time. Plus, while Brewster is a very nice area, it does not have the traditional main street experience like Chatham or the over the top Provincetown. But we are very grateful to the owners because we had a family emergency during our originally scheduled rental period and even though the contract was very clear that they required a 60 day notice of any changes, they were extremely kind to offer us an alternative rental period. So, they were both very responsive and generous. We would highly recommend others to rent this house."

  • Favorite vacation rental on the Cape

"Our family has stayed at this house for 10 consecutive summers and will keep coming back. The house is clean and spacious. The owners are so helpful and make every effort to make our stay special each year. We cannot imagine visiting the Cape and not staying in our favorite house. We have made so many wonderful memories there. This house has a great kitchen with everything at your fingertips to cook any kind of meal or grill outside. There is a nice deck with a great outdoor set. It is located close to the bike path and a quick drive to the center of Brewster and the beaches. There is a great lake right up the road. Our kids love the ping pong table in the basement! Just a great and relaxing place to spend time on the Cape."

  • Great house in a wonderful location!

"My family spent a weekend at the Sea Captain's cottage in June and were really pleased with it. The owner met us there, gave us a quick tour, and everything was as advertised. It is located on a wonderful property and very close to many things. My 3 young children, wife, and mother-in-law enjoyed it immensely."
