  • Perfect little get away house.

"My family and I loved this house for our long weekend away. Everything was clean and well kept. The outdoor deck and garden was also well maintained. It was just a short walk to the beach and just a short drive to woods hole or falmouth center. Dee Dee the owner got back to me right away and was easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this property to other families."

  • Spectacular Sunset Views and Absolute Serenity

"My family vacationed in West Falmouth for years so I have very fond memories of the area. I am so happy to have found this cozy beach cottage nestled in the dunes. The cottage is everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing getaway from it all whether you’re traveling with a small family, another person, or by yourself. The cottage is a wonderful combination of vintage Cape Cod with modern amenities. While compact, the cottage makes great use of space with a combined living and dining room with a stone fireplace for taking the chill off a cool night and amazing westerly views of Little Island and Buzzards Bay. The master bedroom also faces the water and it was wonderful falling asleep to the sounds of the waves against the beach. The kitchen is bright and cheery, and well stocked with kitchen gadgets if want to dine in. Stairs in the kitchen lead up to a roof top deck with two lounge chairs where I enjoyed watching the ever changing light off the ocean, the tides, the clouds floating by, and the most spectacular sunsets. (The morning glow of sunrise is also special.) Step off the back porch off the living area and you are in the dunes where a short path takes you to a private white sugar fine sandy beach. At low tide there are sandbars which make for a family friendly beach. I enjoyed walking the beach at different times of the day looking for shells and exploring Little Island. Located at the end of the crushed shell lane right on the beach, the cottage is incredibly private. But, it’s also conveniently located to the village center which includes West Falmouth Market, an ice cream shop (summer only), a café, the West Falmouth Library and access to the bike path. Several restaurants are nearby in either direction on Rt. 28A and at the Sea Crest Hotel on Old Silver Beach, and of course, Falmouth is a 10 to 15-minute drive away for more activities including the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Peggy was easy to work with, responded quickly to my emails, and patiently answered my questions about booking through VRBO. I’m looking forward to returning next year!"

  • Felt like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis vacationing on the Cape

"I really have nothing but great things to say about this home, the area in which it is located, and VACASA's property manager Daniel! The home was clean and well taken care of. We used the hot tub and Kayaks and gorgeous fireplace. The location was perfect for my 3 kids to kayak, we only wish it was a tad warmer. The home had everything we needed from an abundance of towels, wet suits, rain jackets, umbrella's to enough kitchenware needed to cook a Lobster meal and entertaining our friends one evening. The home is on a little island of gorgeous homes in Falmouth. I felt perfectly safe with my 3 kids exploring the island. (17,13 & 10). The property manager was friendly and patient. We bugged him daily about how to commute to Boston & Martha's Vineyard, where to launch the Kayaks, and where to find the best restaurants for our "Foodie" palate. Daniel was very patient and quick to respond. You can tell he is very proud of the beautiful town in which he lives. For breakfast I would suggest the Pickle Jar and/or the Large French bakery. The candy/chocolate shop was just amazing with all the chocolate made on site! Daniel suggested Bleu (french cuisine) in Mashpee and it happened to be one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. We did journey to Boston, it only took about 1.5 hours (middle of the day during the week) We went to Rino's for the homeade "Lobstah" ravioli I had been waiting 5 years to enjoy after seeing it on the Food Network. Totally worth the ride and price. We also had to stop at Mikes Pastries for their version of the Lobster tail (pastry) - Although they are famous for the cannoli's which are also to die for! All in All, my family is still thanking me for our spring break trip."
