  • Excellent!

"We have been renting this property since 2011 for our annual 2-week vacation in Cape Cod and have become addicted to its comforts and facilities. We have found it highly user-friendly. It is about a mile from the nearest beach, which is what we prefer to any house right on the beach. The Cornfield, where the Blue Door is located, is a quiet lane off Route 28 and the town center is a short drive away or a pleasant mile-long walk which we often take. A seafood store is a 3-minute walk from the cottage. Our children and grandchildren love the place and its surroundings with its spacious patches of green at the back and front. We have not met the owner personally but have always found her to be most gracious and helpful when contacted through email or phone, (unlike the somewhat indifferent owner of another place we had rented in 2015 when the Blue Door had not been available). We hope to rent the Blue Door many times in the years to come."

  • WOW!

"I can't say enough good things about the Beachcomber Cottage! Laura has created a warm, welcoming, clean and well appointed home and amazingly offers it as a rental! My family found the home spacious enough to spread out when we wanted some quiet time but there were enough large spaces (inside and out) to gather and eat together. My mother, who has some knee issues and is partially blind, appreciated the grab bars in the bathroom and in a few other places in the house that offered her the extra security she requires. Let's not forget the real reason you rent this house--Long Beach! We love Long Beach and the Beachcomber is about the 6th house up from the sandy path that takes you right down to a picture perfect spot at the end of the crescent shaped beach! I would say with slow legs the walk will take to 4 minutes and with a quick step you can do it in 2. The owners were always quick to reply to my questions and we will rent this house again and again. If you can find an available week, snap this place up!"

  • Third time and still charming

"Took our adult children and their family for the 2nd year. By Wednesday, everyone agreed to return for a 3rd year in June of '17. Perfect and private property. House is cozy and comfy. Everyone from 5 to 55 loved Depot Pond, the 2 mile bike ride to the bay or ocean, and the easy proximity to anywhere on the Cape. Loved sitting on the deck or watching wild life inhabit the pond from the. living room bay window. Looking forward to another charming 3rd trip to Depot Pond."

  • Overall it's a great property. very consistent with the mood of the Berkshires.

"The property was as described. It was clean and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The beds were made and the kitchen was well stocked.. Considering the cost I don't think we should have been required to spend our vacation time washing linens and towels. That should be a service provided. I would recommend this property preferably when you don't need air conditioning. The air conditioning is only in the bedrooms and the units in the bedrooms are so loud it's hard to go to sleep. The owner is very responsive and helpful. As in past trips we enjoyed the beach nearby, trip to Williamstown theater and Tanglewood."
