  • A week by the beach

"What a cute little apartment by the beach! We are a family of 4, kids are 3 and 4 and we couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation near the seashore. Located right in the National Seashore, a quick 5-10 minute walk to coast guard beach, this is a really cute place to stay while you enjoy Cape Cod. The cottage style apartment is equipped with everything you need to feel right at home on vacation. Everything from kitchen utensils, to coffee maker, to appliances. We definitely needed and used the washer dryer on this trip! The owners went out of their way to be welcoming and make sure we had everything. We could walk to the beach to watch the seals and jump in the waves. It's also a quick drive to the bay side to enjoy First Encounter Beach which was perfect for little kids during low tide. The Nauset lighthouse is about a mile away which made for a great morning run and also a fun family excursion to the top. (Tours in the late afternoon- check the schedule.) Arnold's was a classic takeaway place with mini golf and great fried food. Close by. The chocolate cafe is also close and has a purple truck that comes to the beaches and has the best ice cream sandwiches. Not to be missed. If you're hikers, I'd recommend the Marconi swamp trail which has boardwalks and an easy trail for little kids. Really an ideal location, sweet beach house and warm welcoming hosts."

  • Another great year!

"This is our 4th year renting this house. We love Cotuit and we love staying here. We have 4 adult children and a few are married. This house accommodates all of us. It is clean and the view is amazing. We love the screened porch and the ocean breezes. Kitchen is great for cooking. We will be back!"

  • Charming historic house near everything

"My wife and I and our 3 adult children stayed and had a wonderful time. The house is very charming and quaint with plenty of room for the 5 of us. It is within walking distance of downtown Chatham, a small beach, grocery store and across the street from the Cape Cod league baseball field. Just to note, there is one AC window unit in the upstairs bedroom but the breezes off of Oyster Pond kept the house fairly cool and we were there for a hot and sticky week. As noted by others, the outdoor shower was a hit as were the gardens. Janet was a wonderful host."

  • Our wonderful first stay at the Cape!

"I'm surprised that I'm the first to review this little gem! It's December and I'm somewhat embarrassed that I'm just getting around to reviewing our condo rental from September... full time working mom with 2 young ones! From the get go, Lisa was amazing to work with! She was prompt with her response, more than helpful with any questions I asked, I was completely comfortable with the agreement process. Pictures of this condo are 100% accurate, the place is cozy, very very clean, and quiet, you can tell Lisa put a lot of love into this place. As I said, I have 2 young ones, the 4 of us stayed here for 5 days. We loved it, my older LO still talks about going back to the beach house! Have to admit, we had to do a little baby proofing while we were there, but it was only because our younger LO likes to touch everything! We made sure we put everything back as it was before we left. So at the end of the day, I highly recommend - and maybe be a little careful if you have kids under age 2. Other than that we have zero complaints about this place. I guess we're not quite the "ocean" family, because the rocks and plethora of seaweed took a little getting used to at the private beach. It's OK if you want to stay out for an hour or two, but a few minutes drive and you're at some of the best beaches in the US so it was all good for full day excursions. The kids adored Mayflower Beach, about a 20 min drive if I can recall. Lots of cute stores but not so touristy that it grosses you out. To finish it off, Lisa followed up with us very quickly after our departure and finalized the deposit return, which is something that really stood out for me having had experience renting before. We loved it here and hope we can make another trip this year. And if you choose this place, I know you'll love it too! Thank you Lisa for opening up your place to us, we really appreciate it!! All our best - Cindy T"
