  • a Cambridge dream come true

"I spent a month in this lovely space and enjoyed every minute of it. The studio is surprisingly spacious and beautifully appointed. The handsome mid-century modern furniture, the sophisticated art works, and the wonderful collection of books set the tone, and the kitchen and bathroom were very functional. The location is astonishingly good if you have business at Harvard, or just want to try the Cambridge experience. It's a charming building on a nice street in an ideal position, in reach of all that the area has to offer. The serenity of this apartment is notable, and I really enjoyed the treetop, roofline views and morning sun. Staying there made me feel as if I--briefly--actually lived in Cambridge, rather than just being a visitor. I certainly hope to be able to stay there again next time I am in town. Steve was a great host, helpful, communicative, easy-going, and a pleasure to know. There were absolutely no problems while I was there, but I am confident that if anything did arise, he'd take care of it right away. This apartment is a perfect example of what's good about VRBO--you are very fortunate indeed if you get to stay here."

  • Charming, clean, and safe - with access to everything!

"We stayed in two apartments at this location, one on the 3rd floor and one on the 2nd. Both were well-appointed and quite charming. Apartments were clean and fully functioning. The location was convenient to the T station, which we used to get around everywhere in Boston, from Somerville to Cambridge to Watertown to the Boston Common. We were able to walk to restaurants in the area. We ate at Five Horses Tavern, within walking distance. We highly recommend Banyan Bar + Refuge – one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at anywhere in a long time! A Starbucks is right across the street and convenience stores with groceries are just doors away. We were also able to easily walk to the South End Open Market on a Sunday. We encountered a beautiful community garden on the way. A laundromat is just downstairs in the next building – check the hours, though. We planned to do laundry our last evening before heading to the next leg of our trip in Washington DC and arrived too late to start a load. We took an Amtrak train from Boston to DC and it was very simple to get from the apartment to the Amtrak station. There is a lot of character in the neighborhood – we were surrounded by beautiful brownstones. We were surprised at how quiet the apartment was. We expected Tremont to be a noisy street, but we were able to keep our windows open and not hear a lot of traffic noise. There are some steep steps to the apartments – so if you have any trouble with stairs, this may not be the place for you. We stayed with our adult daughter and she felt very comfortable on the sofa pull-out bed. Glenn and Kevin were both so helpful with answering our questions and preparing for our arrival both before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!"
