  • Amazing Views, Comforts of Home, Beautiful Home

"The location is convenient to Amherst, the home is kept immaculately and is very comfortable. Loved having the fire place and the grill available. The owner was wonderful to work with, available for questions, and was generous to offer her spices for cooking. The area was so peaceful and breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting at the little table near the lake and taking in the views. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see. I recommend this beautiful Lakeside Home!"

  • A perfect stay

"Mari and Joel's flat is a treasure. It's spacious, bright, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The large kitchen is furnished with good appliances, generous shelf space, and a handy breakfast table. When I needed to serve lunch to a few guests, Mari brought down a colorful tablecloth to fit the work table in the dining room/parlor. We appreciated the large armchairs in the living room, the spacious closet in the bedroom, and the excellent mattress on the king bed. I liked having our own washer/dryer, as well as a separate thermostat that enabled us to control the heating in the flat. The handsome. in-tune piano in the living room was a great bonus. When I was sure Mari and Joel would not be disturbed, I was able to practice! We had lovely walks across the Smith campus, around the neighborhood, and down into town. It was a memorable two-weeks in which I got a lot of work done. Superb!"

  • Perfect Getaway

"The cottage was the perfect place for a solitary retreat for yoga, hiking, writing... Close enough to many attractions and restaurants; secluded enough to enjoy some solitude and quiet. John was very help and friendly. Loved it and hope to return in the Spring!"

  • Rural Paradise

"We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in the great Berkshires. My first real farm dwelling experience. We all enjoyed the sweet and funny sounds of sheep and the many outdoor amenities included with the house (hammock, porch furniture, new grill, incredible sunset views). Inside the house was well equipped with comfortable furniture, beds, towels/linens etc., and a few extra perks. I highly recommend a hike, kayak, and swim at the nearby Pelham Lake Park (10-15 minute drive), a trip to Shelburne falls to see the Bridge of Flowers, and a dinner at Hope and Olive in Greenfield. Karen was a delightful host (thank you Karen!)."
