  • A Little Piece of Heaven!

"My husband and I rented this property, along with a similar property owned by the same family, for our friends coming from out of town for our wedding at the Allen Farm. The owner was incredibly accommodating with travel arrangements and we walked in to fresh cut flowers from the garden and a box of Chilmark Chocolates to set the tone for a wonderful week in a secluded paradise. Friends spent evenings snuggling by the fire, we drank wine and told stories on the beautiful patio outside the master bedroom, and walked around the gorgeous grounds overlooking Squibnocket Pond. This is a house where you seem to gasp each time you look out the window. Tons of charm, all the comforts you could want, and a very responsive owner. Highly recommend this property to those who want a true up island experience."

  • Great Vineyard Home Base

"My boyfriend and I had a great trip to Martha's Vineyard this year, and it was due to George and this house! I can't imagine a better home base for exploring the island. West Tisbury is right in the center of the island, and with a car (or two for a big family - there's two parking spots), the house is a perfect launch pad for all the classic Vineyard destinations - obviously Edgartown and Oak Bluffs as well as the less traveled "up-island" destinations of Menemsha and Chilmark. George pointed us towards Lambert's Cove, a private beach reserved for those staying in West Tisbury, and it was spectacular. Great place to play kadima and spikeball as it wasn't ever overcrowded like the public beaches. Another highlight for us was the proximity to the Vineyard's State Forest, which is accessible right next to the house. We enjoyed a really long run there. It was a great way to enjoy the Vineyard in a less touristy way. The house itself is really comfortable. It's a functional older family home that had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation - kitchen, grill, outdoor shower, washer/dryer, and plenty of space inside (many bedrooms and bathrooms!). We were there mainly to explore the Vineyard, but I think this would be a great place to entertain friends or a big family - especially outside as the backyard is huge! Our visit was a great trip and a great experience on MV. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future."

  • Perfect Vineyard home

"We just returned from a week on the Vineyard. This was our second year in a row renting this home. The house is quaint and perfect for our family of 6 + a dog. We have 4 small kids and the house was perfect for us. The backyard allows for great outdoor fun with tons of yard to run freely and safely. The location is ideal and centrally located. Most importantly, the owner is available as needed, so welcome and easy going, but respects the privacy of a renting family. I would highly recommend this home for family's looking to enjoy the True experience of MV."

  • A Whole Summer Stay on Music Street

"This vintage farm house is thoughtfully decorated, well equipped and superbly located in the West Tisbury village. My family lived on the house length screened porch, leaving to walk around the corner for quick meal at 7A, groceries at Alley's General Store and to cross the street for the Farmer's Market. The outdoor shower is sublime and has a seemingly endless supply of hot water. WiFi is remarkably dependable. We entertained guests and family members throughout the summer and the house affords both privacy and wonderful spots to congregate. With the well equipped kitchen and gas grill, we had lovely dinners on a candle lit porch. Bob conscientiously looks after the property and his guests ensuring all was in order and we wanted for nothing. This was our third summer staying at this home and the first that we were there for a full summer. I hesitate to recommend this house only because I want my preferred weeks for the coming summer.
