  • A charming cottage with a wonderful kitchen

"We had a wonderful time in this lovely, simple cottage. The kitchen is a true cook's space with an extraordinary collection top-quality pots and pans, a six burner gas stove and even a burr coffee grinder. We found staples like olive oil, salt, etc. in the cabinets. Beyond the kitchen, the house is rustic but comfortable. Unlike some short-term rentals, the cottage is not stripped bare -- there are books and games on the shelves, wildlife guides for hikes in the woods and the beaches, and plenty of beach towels."

  • Great house, great location, great people to work with

"Having rented many homes on Martha's Vineyard, I can honestly say this was superb. Very well provisioned, wonderful kitchen, and the meadow beyond the house was almost as beautiful to look at as a water view. We were delighted with it!!"

  • comfortable , rustic home with AC

"we had a lovely week at this perfectly located home. a very easy property - has everything one needs. If you're looking for pristine or fussy this is not the place for you. But if you don't mind a rustic family home - that has AC!!- it's a great spot. Owners were lovely and easy to communicate with."

  • Quiet, private retreat with beautiful views; well-appointed, spacious house

"The house has a great deck with a beautiful view and a nice open flow and living room/dining room. It's set on a very quiet and secluded piece of property with no background noise or direct neighbors. The owner's artwork collection is impressive and adds an unexpected visual dimension to your stay. The kitchen is very open and well-appointed with everything one could need--very conducive to family cooking. It was helpful to have DirecTV, as well as a great sound system, though the wifi and cell service were spotty and weak (probably fault of the services and beyond the control of the owner). The private beach is a nice bonus, but you probably won't use it as your primary beach, as it's a 25 minute hike and a very rocky beach. The back deck with grill and coi pond is a relaxing retreat, too. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely consider this house for future Vineyard visits."
