  • Great Place & Great Value

"Our family of four was very comfortable and pleased with the cleanliness and amenities. There is a great DVD selection and board games galore. Washer Dryer/Kitchen were updated and had all the basics. Less than five minute drive or bike ride to dike bridge and beaches for fishing, swimming and relaxation. We will be back to Chappy for certain! BTW, the Royal Chappaquiddick Golf Course is a great nine hole experience...regardless of your ability, if you like golf, go play. Brad the owner is a great guy and it was a highlight for us."

  • Amazing Resort Style Property

"We have been to Martha's Vinyard with a large group several times over the last 8 years and we finally found the retreat we were looking for. This place truly is beautiful. From the ride down the long gravel road, which is a little dusty, you arrive to a lush green lawn with fruit trees and a circular driveway. Most likely you will see the resident turkeys frolicking around when you pull up. The outside is perfect with several seating enclaves and plenty of flat lawn for activities. We set up various yard games (volleyball, whiffle ball, Kan Jam, Corn Hole, Bocce Ball, etc...) and they stayed in place all week. The property does have a basketball court but the backboard and rim were removed. Not a big deal but I am sure we would have utilized it had it been up. The pool is also pristine and was used all week. It was a great feature especially with a large group of children (8 all together from the ages of 9-13). It made the days effortless as we just eased in to every day with the kids hanging around the pool or enjoying the grounds without nagging to get somewhere. The house is a close drive (12-15 minutes) to South Beach, Edgartown, Oak Bluffs. So relatively convenient to most areas. The kitchen really made it hard to eat out, but we did manage to get out a few nights. The pictures do not do this kitchen justice, it is enormous and absolutely awesome. For the most part it had everything we needed for cooking. It could use a little more organizing but we managed. Bedrooms were all well proportioned and with a total of 16 people it was not cramped at all. We spent nights around the outdoor fire pit as well as the many other sitting areas inside just reflecting what a great time we were having. The property is very private but there is a small cottage at the entrance the looks like it gets rented out. It is far enough that it doesn't really interfere with anything but it is does take away from some of the exclusivity that the property exhibits. The owner, Diedre was very responsive on the small items/issues we did have. Which really are irrelevant. So the next time we are in The Vinyard we no longer have to search for our oasis. Really was a great place and a superb time. 5 Stars!!"

  • The best family home on the Vineyard!

"Wow, you have found the best family home on Martha's Vineyard! We vacationed for 2 weeks (July 3-15, 2016) at this fabulous, 5 bedroom, harborview home. We travel as a family of 6-10 (parents, 2 teens, 2 tweens) and include grandparents, so a property that serves multi-generations is key. The 1st floor bedroom was perfect for grandma, and the 4 bedrooms up, including a kids hang out pooltable area, allowed plenty of sleeping accommodations. The separate livingroom and TV rooms on the first floor allowed us to spread out. The highlight is the porch, with a covered pavillion table and seating for 8, overlooking the harbor and the spacious yard. The short walk down the road to a public access beach was truly a bonus, as many beaches around the island are private. Daily short drives into town to Stop 'n Shop for groceries and Winds Up to take lessons in any water sport you desire (sailing, stand up paddle boards, kayaking), made Vineyard Haven the right choice as apposed to congested traffic in other MV towns. Preston was very responsive home owner to work with. We highly recommend this home."

  • A Delightful Home with Dazzling Views

"Nicely nestled in the woods with stunning views from every room and a spectacular sunset deck that will knock your flip flops off, you will find it very difficult to ever venture far from this impeccably finished homestead. It’s hard to imagine a more idyllic location or a more charming and tasteful “back to basics“ island cottage - replete with outdoor shower. Hit the trail and stroll down to the beach for an afternoon swim or hop on a bike and pedal down the road to Menemsha for seafood right off the boat. Fine restaurants, general stores, the farmers market - everything is within easy reach. With hosts who attend to every detail, we hope to visit again for a third year!"
