  • Perfect Location, Comfortable Home

"This is the fourth house we've rented on Martha's Vineyard (always Edgartown) and the best one so far. It is in the perfect location - just a few blocks from the shops, art galleries and restaurants of Edgartown but tucked away on a very quiet side street. You don't even need a car or bike because everything is so close (including the bus stop) but there is a place to park 2-3 cars. The house itself is spacious, bright, well-stocked, and nicely decorated, with loads of books everywhere. We were six people and the three main house bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were more than adequate for our needs. The bedrooms were a good size, reading nooks were present in the upper two bedrooms, and the beds themselves were quite comfortable. There was also a living room and a separate family room so we were able to spread out. The family room was bright and airy and had games and puzzles to keep the kids occupied. We also had everything we needed in the kitchen and laundry area and very much appreciated that there were beach towels and beach chairs to use. There is a pleasant back/side yard as well, which could be made more useable with a slightly different outdoor furniture configuration. The owner was also excellent to work with - responsive and helpful, reminding us of key dates like car ferry reservations and local events. I would strongly recommend this home, particularly based upon our experience of having rented three other houses within blocks of this one."

  • Beautiful, tranquil spot

"I spent 2+ weeks at this fabulous house in the fall. What a wonderful, relaxing experience. The view over Katama Bay is spectacular and changes every day an throughout the day. The the fabulous deck and comfortable deck furniture is the perfect place to watch the colors change, read a book, watch the birds over the marsh, or take a nap. The location is great for taking long walks on the beach or walking on the Trustee land or the lanes of Chappy. The property is very private and very quiet -- especially in the off season! The house is beautifully appointed, very comfortable (great mattress in Master bedroom!) and has anything you need for a short or extended stay. The owners were the best! They were great with communicating details and making arrangements. I would come back here in a heartbeat!"

  • What a Great Week!

"Our family of 5 joined a family of 4 to rent this beautiful, well equipped home for a week. We had 5 kids ranging in age from 16-3 yrs old & the house accommodated us easily. All the bedrooms were private and all the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are well appointed & the outdoor shower is awesome. The kids loved the hot tube & hogged it away from the parents. Though the kitchen was a little small with limited work space, it was adequate with plenty of pots, pans, bowls & utensils, plus we used the grill extensively which worked out great. The grounds are beautifully maintained with plenty of room running around, catches & other outdoor games. The deck off the kitchen was our goto for meals & entertaining. The location is secluded and private, yet very close to Edgartown, Morning Glory Farm, South Beach and West Tisbury Rd. Thank you Carlin for offering your home. You are a model hostess with class and taste, and your house is lovely and welcoming. We had a fantastic time!"

  • Awesome House!

"We had an amazing time and couldn’t have asked for a better house and location. The back deck was our favorite spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! The view of Morning Glory farm was beautiful. The house was so spacious for me and my sisters (we like to get away from each other from time to time haha). We went to the beach almost everyday, the weather was perfect! We also went into town for some Mad Martha’s ice cream and took a sailing trip on the Mad Max! Overall, the house was clean, spacious and very enjoyable for my family and I."
