  • Wonderful Home

"We stayed for a week in July, and I really cannot say enough good things about the house and the owners. The house was great- open living space, plenty of rooms, well designed for multiple families(although we went as a single family of 5). There is everything you would want for cooking in the kitchen. The location is great- a short stroll on a private path to a private beach. The owners were fantastic- helpful and very nice; we even had a welcome gift of fudge and wine which was appreciated by all. The island of Chappy is quiet; there are no restaurants and essentially no stores. The ferry to and from Edgartown can get crowded if you are taking a car but we never had any wait when going by bike or foot. The house is close enough to bike to the ferry. All in all, it was a great week. We loved the house and its location. We appreciated the quiet beauty of Chappy and didn't mind the need to go into Edgartown for shopping, food etc. We spent most of the week lounging on Chappy, swimming , kayaking and biking(bikes and kayaks provided at the house) All five of us are excited to go back next year!!!"

  • Great experience all-around!

"We were pleased with this house in just about every way. While the house may appear small in the photos, it is really quite large and it is impeccable. The interior is very tastefully decorated and the back yard is very private and charming. The rear sun-room and kitchen/dinette were full of light. We found the location to be great as well. It's about a 7-8 minute walk into Edgartown (and if you walk, we recommend taking the 50-foot dirt-path shortcut to the right of the neighbor's house) and just 3-4 minutes from the Katama Store and the bus route going down to South Beach. Being a little bit out of town an on a circle, the neighborhood is VERY private and quiet. Finally, the owner was very easy to deal with and helpful with recommendations on places to dine, where to rent a boat, etc. In fact, our only wish was for a pool to use, but that's just a preference of our family..."

  • Beautiful House; Great Location

"This was the perfect spot for a great family vacation. Close to town and to South Beach (and to the bike path that runs between them). The shallow bay in front of the house was an endless source of entertainment for the kids, including kayaking, paddleboarding, and looking for sea creatures (clams, scallops, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, fish). The birdwatching is also great, and the yard is big enough for wiffleball or touch football. The outdoor shower came in quite handy. The house itself is well maintained, comfortable, and very well equipped, with everything we needed. The beds are comfortable and the area is private and quiet, so we got plenty of rest. We loved every minute of our stay and we can't wait to return."

  • Great place with a fantastic location

"Great location. Cute, clean cottage, exactly what you think of for beach vacation. Only downside is the bed is very small, although it is comfortable. Had a great stay, thanks Mike!"
