  • Great cottage!

"My husband and I stayed here for a very belated honeymoon. The cottage was prefect for the two of us! The weather was unseasonably cold in April so we used the fireplace often. It was nice cuddling by the fire and watching one of the many movies they offer. It has a well stocked kitchen which was nice since we did a lot of our own cooking. It is close to the beach and oak bluffs which we enjoyed visiting. would definitely recommend staying here!"

  • Beautiful, tranquil spot

"I spent 2+ weeks at this fabulous house in the fall. What a wonderful, relaxing experience. The view over Katama Bay is spectacular and changes every day an throughout the day. The the fabulous deck and comfortable deck furniture is the perfect place to watch the colors change, read a book, watch the birds over the marsh, or take a nap. The location is great for taking long walks on the beach or walking on the Trustee land or the lanes of Chappy. The property is very private and very quiet -- especially in the off season! The house is beautifully appointed, very comfortable (great mattress in Master bedroom!) and has anything you need for a short or extended stay. The owners were the best! They were great with communicating details and making arrangements. I would come back here in a heartbeat!"

  • Charming Edgartown compound near MV airport

"Three close families booked the two homes in this charming, spacious Edgartown compound and had a wonderful week. The setting was idyllic, relaxing and quiet. The dirt road leading to the homes felt remote at first but the location proved to be fairly convenient to town and biking once we more familiar with the area. We also were close to the amazing Morning Glory Organic Store, which was helpful for stocking the kitchen. Moreover, the compound had everything needed on the beautifully landscaped grounds including 2 hot tubs, a pool with lounge chairs and a hammock. The homes are well-designed with modern amenities and homey touches including sun porches, comfortable beds; a recreation/fitness room with a pingpong table, fitness bike and a elliptical machine; washer/dryer, well-appointed kitchen and a generous veranda style porch. The owners were accommodating and helpful during our stay. Our only regret was not being closer to the beach but we found a fairly private beach about 15 minutes away by car that we thoroughly enjoyed. In sum, the accommodations more than fulfilled our expectations and we hope to return in the future."

  • Exceeded our expectations!

"Last year while staying in Edgartown, we rode our bikes over to Chappy and took a guided tour of the shore line via the back of a pick up truck, it was fun and very informational. This year we decided to see if there were any actual rentals on Chappy. We were so smitten by Chappy that when we found this house, we booked it right away! We were looking for quiet, relaxation, star gazing and comfort. This house gave us all of that and more. The house is close enough to the ferry so getting to the mainland was never an issue. The house was immaculate! Unlike other rentals we've stayed in, there were adequate supplies, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed to prepare our meals. With 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms we invited our son down for a couple of nights as he's a photo buff. He captured some amazing photos of the Milkyway and other stars and galaxies from the beach - it was so dark, his photos are quite amazing! We drove our jeep out onto the beach every day and enjoyed THE most perfect week of weather we've ever had! I read my books in the sun while my husband fished from shore. We brought a cooler with lunch and snacks and stayed on the beach all day! It was absolutely perfect! I can't recall a more relaxing vacation. At night we'd make dinner, grill on the deck, play board games or just read. The house is nestled on a wooded lot and very quiet. We loved it so much that we've already booked our return trip in 2016! For those wondering, we never felt isolated from real life, but were always far enough away from it to feel like we were off the beaten path. We brought our bikes but didn't ride them as much as we thought we would. We spent our days on the beach:) If you're considering Chappy, you won't find a more comfortable house to stay in! We can't wait to go back!!"
