  • Lovely home in a great location

"The house was very cozy and had plenty of room for our family of 8. I think it is nicer than the pictures online. The three full baths were really nice and no one had to wait for the shower when we were getting ready to go out. We were able to walk into town and to the lake and it was very close to Butternut for skiing. We wished that we had brought our ice skates because people were skating on the lake. The owners were lovely and provided A LOT of information about the house when we arrived which was a little overwhelming. We had never rented a house that was the primary residence of the owner before but once we got used to the idea it turned out great."

  • A Heavenly Way to Celebrate

"I wanted to celebrate my 70th birthday with my whole family somewhere near Cape Cod (which had been on my bucket list for some time). We found Summerwind on the VRBO site, and it was a piece of heaven for our family of ten. From my grand daughter to my four children and their partners, this five bedroom house was perfect for a family gathering where we all found a bedroom for each of us. We loved the setting just outside Onset on Buzzard's Bay, away from the hubbub but close enough to explore the various parts of the area. The owner, Angela, was very helpful in providing information and places to visit on and around Cape Cod. The housekeeper, Kate and husband Steve, were also kind and helpful. Our only complaint was that we arrived shortly after Labor Day and some of the things we ventured out to do were closed for the season, like the little town of Onset and the carousel on Martha's Vineyard. On the other hand, there weren't so many tourists and that was good. All of the amenities in the home (pool and all kinds of equipment, pool table, kayacks and tennis courts) were gratefully enjoyed. We loved that there were three areas inside the house to congregate in smaller groups if we wanted, as well as outside on the decks, and that the dining table with ten places to accommodate all of us!!! It was a dream come true for me and a memory made for my entire family to cherish in the coming years."

  • Definitely will return

"We recently visited this wonderful Vineyard home. It was perfect. Centrally located. Very quiet , Nature surrounding us, wild turkeys in yard, just absolutely beautiful. Everything we needed for our vacation. Being so close to Alley's was perfect for our son. The house has so much charm. I would spend each morning watching the sunrise in the window bench in the living room. We will definitely return!"
