  • Everything we wanted and more. Great location.

"We could not have asked for a better time at this house. We stayed here with extended family, ages ranging from 75 down to 6. We all enjoyed ourselves, even the teenagers! The location can't be beat. We spent a lot of time at the Inkwell, walked into town, and hung out at Ocean Park. We also took our bikes to State Beach. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Air-conditioning was so appreciated. It was a hot summer! Kitchen was awesome and looked new. Loved having sheets and towels supplied. Owners went above and beyond. Thank you for helping us make great family memories."

  • Enjoyed our stay very much

"My wife, our dog and I arrived for our 2 week stay in July 2016. We enjoyed the home very much, it is quiet and private. The home is very nice, it is comfortable and plenty of house for the 3 of us. We did bring our car over on the ferry (book it far ahead in the summer) and we liked having it on the island. The house was stocked with everything you need to get started (spices, etc...) but of course you will want to pick up what you want for yourself and likely leave things for others. I particularly enjoyed the panini maker and used it 4x in our 2 weeks. The back yard is great, we spent a lot of time here in the evenings. Really, it is a place to relax. Our little guy loved it, he was maybe more happy here than at home which is really something. You can walk to Oak Bluffs in 10-12 minutes. We rode our bikes several times to Edgartown (about a 15 mile round trip). We would definitely return to this home if we were planning on being back on the island which will depend on our dog's health. So to answer the main questions: Was the listing accurate: Absolutely Was the property clean and maintained: Absolutely Did the owner provide good customer service: Yes, we really like Donna, she is knowledgable about the island and just a great person overall. I can't say enough good things about her. Would you recommend the property to a friend or relative: Absolutely What activities/restaurants did we enjoy: L'Etoile - Edgartown, John's Fish Market - Vineyard Haven, Scottish Bakehouse - Vineyard Haven, Chilmark Chocolates - Chilmark, MV Wine & Spirits - Edgartown and Animal Health Care - Dr. Atwood - Edgartown... The list goes on, there is a lot to do or you can do nothing... the choice is yours... but we love riding our bikes on the island. Thanks again Donna!"

  • A nice cabin set near a pond on Martha's Vineyard.

"This is a dated cottage/cabin in the Oaks Bluff section of Martha's Vineyard. It is comfortable and certainly functional, especially if you can manage the steep stairs to the upper bedroom. Four of us stayed there and had a great time exploring the island. We got off to a bad start with the owner because we came by to look at the place early, oops, a big no no. Lisa was extremely put out and rude. Our bad, learned our lesson. It was a little shocking to be treated so harshly."

  • Wonderful Off-Season Stay!!

"We had the privilege of staying at this beautiful property Mother's Day Weekend. From the initial stay request Pam, the homeowner, was a great communicator and a really beyond helpful!! The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, from games and puzzles to bikes, beach chairs and towels. We found the rooms all very bright and large. The master room with the queen bed accommodated a large pack and play with plenty of extra space. The bunk room was perfect for the kiddos and the grandmothers loved their twin room set up. It was nice that the hallway to the bedrooms has a door that can be shut from the main space. The house is super clean and has some really nice finishes, so you can relax your mind and not feel cluttered. The location is great for families, you are so close to both Vineyard Haven and Oakbluffs, I really couldn't imagine staying in a different spot. It is a short walk to the beach, about 10 mins with a stroller, but we took advantage of the abandoned off season island and explored everyday. Definitely take the ferry to Chappy, make a visit to the Gay Head light house beach and a visit to Lamberts Cove Beach (when accessible). May 2016"
