  • Piece of Heaven

"I could not say enough about this perfect quaint home. Everything you need and want for a relaxing vacation is here. The location is within a 5 minute walk to Circuit ave, the Harbor, the Beach, Ginger bread cottages and the famous Ocean Park. The owner is a wonderful gentleman aimed to please all. We were a family of 55+ and it was just right. Sleeping with the warm breeze blowing thru the window made a perfect nights sleep. We are going on our 4th year in this home and I couldn't ask for anything better..Don't forget to experience the outdoor shower in the morning or evening, it's very refreshing."

  • Beautiful vacation, beautiful stay.

"As a long time dream of visiting Martha's Vinyard, my husband and I chose this home based on the location, pictures and price. We did not expect to arrive to a far more beautiful home for our dream vacation spot as we did at this beautiful home. Exploring the island and the friendliest people truly was a dream come true. Coming home to such a beautiful home topped it all off. Usually on vacations I like to get up early and explore the surroundings. But this home made me want to wake up late, and come back to it after a fun day enjoying the sights. We came during the off season, slightly cold, and sundown occurs about 4pm. Some businesses were closed for the season. However, many stores and restaurants are still open. No traffic, friendly people, and so very much to do made this time of the year and this location a vacation of a lifetime. Thank you Marthas Vinyard, for the amazing hospitality and preservation of such a beautiful island with great history. And thank you Vacasa and the owner of this home for opening your home to us. My dream vacation came true."

  • The best of Martha's Vineyard - perfect private getaway with easy access to beach and town

"Turtle Pond was the absolutely perfect retreat home for our leadership team. A beautiful home, set in a stunningly private setting gave us the perfect "space" to reflect and plan for our future business ventures. We took full advantage of the long driveway for morning and evening walks, the outdoor patio for great conversations and of course the well equipped kitchen for breaking bread together. We especially appreciated that the home provided the privacy we needed and that we had easy access gorgeous Lambert Cove Beach and just a quick ride to Edgartown and Vineyard Haven. In addition, Colin was exceptionally easy to work with. A generous and hospitable host."

  • A very quiet, very comfortable "home away from home"

"We just returned from seven days/six nights in early March and it was absolutely perfect - like being in another world... beautifully decorated with absolutely no small detail missing, lots of light, we could see no other houses on this large property looking out on a large beautiful field with woods all around, a wood stove, very comfortable living room with TV and radio, the bed was incredibly comfortable (even had robes in the room!). This is the perfect, restful setting to read, sleep, cook (great kitchen) and wonderful steam room shower -- all very relaxing and healing. Haddon was great in arranging things ahead of time, meeting with us when we arrived, fresh flowers throughout the place and even a handwritten welcome note with a bottle of wine! Centrally located on the island with a short drive from town (but with restaurants & grocery not far away) and yet you feel like you are in another world far away. When we arrived, each time we returned from an excursion and when we left - the place always felt like our little home! We liked it so much we did not feel the need to leave (like you might in a B&B) for portions of the day (one day we stayed home all day) and we ate most of our meals there because we loved being there. We cannot give this a higher have total and complete privacy with no one around you --walk around in your robe, eat when you want! This is the way to go for sure. Thank you Haddon! Obviously we loved it! -Kathleen & Tren"
