  • A Sweet Hideaway in Martha's Vineyard

"We have stayed at this location numerous times and it never disappoints. This 4 bedroom two full bath home is very clean and very well equipped. 3 of the 4 bedrooms are spacious. The home is roomy. If you want peace and quiet that's just minutes from the beach or the action in Edgartown then look no further. There's a spacious private yard and back deck that's great for those traveling with kids, or a romantic swing in the hammock for those that aren't. Flora continues to improve the property as each year you see some change she's made. This stay we found lots of new landscaping, and a new back fence. Another stay it was new stainless appliances in the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen if you like to cook while vacationing as we do, then this is by far the best outfitted kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. New kitchen knives, most appliances, I mean I baked a cake with ease on vacation! It's all there and if you're a larger party, don't worry you won't run out of plates or silverware either. For those that prefer going out, the restaurants on the island won't disappoint. For a unique seafood experience and those who remember the film Jaws, then Larsen's in Menemsha is a must. Clams, oysters, lobsters all caught that day cooked in front of you, then you eat on the dock sitting on crates overlooking the ocean. For a fine dining experience then The Atlantic in Edgartown. Expensive but well worth it if you enjoy good food. Another is Martha's Vineyard Chowder Company in Oak Bluffs. Moderately expensive, but maybe our favorite of this trip as we ate there twice. Lastly less than 5 minutes from the house is Morning Glory Farms, without question some of the best fresh vegetables you'll ever eat most of which was picked that day, doesn't get any better. Beaches: want gentler waters within 10 mins of the house is Bend in the Road beach between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown and generally parking is not an issue, a great morning beach. The other also close to the house, though rougher tide is Katama beach. From a great kitchen, spacious enough for families or friends traveling together, to comfortable bedrooms with ample sheets/towels, peace and quiet, or its close proximity to bars and restaurants this rental is totally worth it. You simply lack for nothing in this home, unlike other rentals I've stayed in. Flora has worked hard to make your stay relaxed and worry free, just as vacation should be and why we keep coming back"

  • Wonderful Stay

"Enjoyed our long weekend at this wonderful house with 5 adults. The pictures accurately reflect the house: very clean, updated bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen, nicely furnished. Convenient and quiet location. Most of all, John and Patty were terrific! They responded quickly from reserving the house to sending back our security deposit (without having to ask when the deposit will be mailed!). When I had questions about the house or things to do on the island, Patty was extremely helpful and friendly about everything. Even a bottle of wine and sweets to welcome us! They really made our stay so pleasant. Thank you, John and Patty, for sharing your charming place!"

  • Fantastic place for our family vacation

"My wife and I flew in from Seattle, and met our two grown daughters and their boyfriends. The house was fantastic, giving us all the room and privacy we needed. The kitchen and common areas worked well, and the table on the back deck became a favorite gathering place. My parents joined us for a big, fun, easy family dinner of 8 at the dining table. The location is terrific, with easy walks to our favorite restaurants, bike rides to the beaches, and easy acces to the entire island. Everything was clean. Everything worked well. Generous amount of plates, glasses, condiments, beach towels, linens, etc..."

  • Great place!

"Judy's Jewel was a great, spacious home. Large kitchen and dining area. 2 living rooms. Sitting area upstairs as well. All bedrooms were a good size. We loved our stay! Can walk into town, grocery store around the corner. Can walk to the brewery or circuit avenue. The MVCMA was a quiet area. Sitting on the porch was relaxing...people passing by were so friendly. There was a great washer and dryer in the home. We had a one year old with us and the home was great. Yvette was very helpful in assuring we had our parking tags. She responded to emails promptly. Minor issues were: The bikes were hard to access in the shed and the tires were flat...not any more...we fixed them! :-) Some of the instructions in the home need to be updated...ie, the instructions state "I have provided you with 2 stickers" for garbage...they have now converted to a bag system. Also there were no bungee cords for the garbage bins like the instructions stated. A little confusing. The grill was nice but, there was no propane. I am certain if I had called Yvette about this, she would have addressed our concerns immediately. Overall, very pleased."
