  • Fabulous, old, historic house

"The house is gorgeous. It is super old (late 1600's one thing said) so has a wonderful feel of history and the kind of things you would never see anymore -- amazing wide floor planking, giant fireplaces in multiples rooms, etc. It was perfectly placed for us for the family reunion we were attending and 6 of us fit well in the house. Chilmark is our favorite place to stay - such a great spot plus close to everything. If you are looking for some fancy, everything new, kind of place to stay, this is not your house. If you love a beautiful old house that exudes years of history in a wonderful spot, this is your house! (I hesitate to write this glowing review because I fear it will never be available again when we come to visit!)"

  • A great place for 2

"This place is perfect for 2 people who want to get away. It's a studio so you can't have more than 2 people but it was perfect for us. We didn't use the kitchen much since MV has so many good restaurants to try but it has everything you need and the cutest little refrigerator. The bed was comfy. The owners are super nice. The apartment sits right next to their house in this small cul-de-sac. When we got there after dark, we had hard time finding the place since there was no street light but we walked all the way around the circle/cul-de-sac and we were able to find it eventually. The outside looks just like the picture but the inside looks better than the pictures. Since MV buses are "flag-down" you can catch the bus anywhere from the main road near the apartment. So I'm not sure why someone was complaining about bus stops being so far. There is a diner called "Right Fork Diner" near the apartment (0.7 mile walk) that's a must-try place in MW. Overall, it's a great place to stay. We stayed 2 nights but wish we could've stayed longer. I'm not sure if I could go back since we are expecting a child but if we could we would definitely go back and stay here again!"

  • Beautiful Home!

"We had an amazing girls weekend! The location is perfect! Walking distance to ferry, restaurants, etc. and the house is beautiful. Susan was easy to get in touch with and checked in to make sure everything was going okay. We are already talking about renting again next year!"

  • Great Girls Weekend!

"We had an amazing stay at Barbara's home in Edgartown! We could walk everywhere downtown for food, shopping, etc. The house was also close to a bus stop for when we wanted to visit Oak Bluffs one afternoon. It was a great place to serve as "home base" while we explored the island. Her home is so lovely and had plenty of space for all of us. Everything was clean, she gave clear directions regarding the house, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had a great weekend and will definitely be back!"
