Recent Martha's Vineyard reviews

  • Outstanding management, clean, comfortable and attractive good value for any small group

"Ed, the owner is a very knowledgeable Islander with good recommendations on places to eat, and visit. Lea his wife has a very keen attention to detail making any female companion very comfortable. Ed is a good builder, so the place is well maintained. The Deck is a blast with hot tub and lounge chairs, outdoor shower for cleaning up after a serious day at the beach. The Kitchen is fully outfitted for any occasion a guest might want. These people know what it takes to be comfortable on the Vineyard."

  • Perfect location!

"My family lives on Martha's Vineyard in Aquinnah. We were gathering for the weekend to celebrate my father who passed away recently. We wanted a location close to their home. The location of Renee's cottage was perfect. The Cliff's has always been a beautiful location with the beach, the lighthouse, souvenir shops and eateries in walking distance. The cottage has exactly what you need as far as amenities. Renee was extremely helpful with any questions prior to our trip and made herself available anytime. We look forward to coming back very soon!"

  • Quiet, private retreat with beautiful views; well-appointed, spacious house

"The house has a great deck with a beautiful view and a nice open flow and living room/dining room. It's set on a very quiet and secluded piece of property with no background noise or direct neighbors. The owner's artwork collection is impressive and adds an unexpected visual dimension to your stay. The kitchen is very open and well-appointed with everything one could need--very conducive to family cooking. It was helpful to have DirecTV, as well as a great sound system, though the wifi and cell service were spotty and weak (probably fault of the services and beyond the control of the owner). The private beach is a nice bonus, but you probably won't use it as your primary beach, as it's a 25 minute hike and a very rocky beach. The back deck with grill and coi pond is a relaxing retreat, too. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely consider this house for future Vineyard visits."

  • You can not find a better place!!

"This is the best hidden GEM on the island. The property is just gorgeous, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is your place. The apartment is spotless!! Everything is new and clean and it looks much larger then 750sq. The owner Richard is the definition of a perfect gentleman. He has been in the hospitality business for 20 years and he passes it right on to make sure your stay is perfect!, When he would leave early in the morning he would do everything possible to avoid waking us up at 630 am. Staying above his garage in consideration he would leave his car in the driveway to avoid and noise. His dog Tucker is the most gentle and lovable dog. I rarely ever write a review and I hope I'm not giving it away for next year but if you have a chance to stay here you will have no regrets. Everything you are looking for is in the beautiful carrage house."
