"Six women stayed at the house for a long weekend of fun! The house- it is a beautiful old house, with a wonderful smell. The kitchen is well stocked, the living room is so very cozy, the dining room table is perfect for eating and card games, the beds are comfortable, the outdoor shower is private and is sunny/starlit, and the lawn is soft to lie on and look up at the Milky Way. There are lots of books and art and photos in the house, which make it great to explore. The Location-- is ideal. You can walk up to the lighthouse in one direction, and a short walk to the village in the other direction. The Sconset Village has a general store (get there early for a famous Sconset blueberry muffin), a post office, sandwich shop, restaurant, and old world charm. The beach is right in the village. Lovely sand, surf and Seals! Walk from the beach to get a drink at the Summer House (expensive-but strong drinks and lovely couches on the beach). Another day we took the Wave, which is the public bus, to Nantucket Town. It runs regularly and is a good alternative if you want to avoid driving and have a drink with dinner. One day we took the bus to town, rented bikes from Youngs (great service and bikes), rode out to Cisco Beach, then to Bartlett farms, then to the Cisco Brewery for music-food trucks-beer, and then back to Town . An amazing day. The Public Bluff Walk is a must do. Bo was a great laid back guy to deal with. Thank you Bo for sharing this delightful house."

  • Perfect, Iconic Sconset Cottage

"Eastward Look is perhaps the most iconic cottage in Sconset, appearing on countless postcards and watercolors. Staying here, you're experiencing something timeless: the shells on Front Street, the banks of wildflowers and sweet peas, tourists and couples strolling by. Everything works perfectly for a stay at the beach. The Market is steps away for provisions. The kitchen is basic but very functional, and the beautiful porch and side yard, both with extensive ocean views over codfish park, are perfect places to share a meal. Bookcases full of Nantucket lore for rainy days. Beds and bedrooms are classic cottage style. We loved it and will return."

  • 'Sconset: a heavenly escape

"Our family adores Siasconset. It's quiet and removed from the bustle in town, around the ferries. It's cozy and perfect for real family time. The bike rides can't be beat, especially to Sankaty Lighthouse. The beach isn't packed and there is a steady stream of curious seals swimming by. There's a nice new playground. To stay in a home decades older than our country was a real treat. And the location can't be beat, as far as we're concerned. It was a short stroll to the general store for ice cream; the bus to town; and the beach. We saw a movie at the Casino and enjoyed the famous bluff walk, also steps away. It was so nice to have a little yard in which to sit and relax. It was virtually fenced in by the hedges. The separate cottage worked out great for us. It was great to have a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The owner and caretaker do their best to make sure you have a wonderful stay. And we did."
