  • Madaket Serenity

"I've been going Nantucket for over 30 years and have stayed many different places throughout the island. The natural beauty of Madaket is unmatched and The Scallop is right in the middle of it. The house is perfect for taking in all that Madaket and Smith's Point has to offer. The views and proximity to the beach and ocean are perfect. Beautiful surroundings and peaceful with the best sunrises and sunsets anywhere. We found the house well equipment and very clean. I look forward to returning there again on future trips to the island. The Scallop will be my first choice for beauty and serenity on Nantucket!"

  • Amazing Home!!

"Cute little home right in the center of town. Took about 10 min to walk to the ferry/everything else in town. Had enough linens and towels as well as plenty of space for me and all my friends. It was super clean upon arrival and the owner is nice as can be. Also, plenty of amenities for cooking or grilling in the backyard which has a great hammock. I'd definitely recommend this house for your stay in Nantucket!"

  • Perfect Nantucket Stay!! Beautiful Home!

"We have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years, and around the world, and this Nantucket vacation was one of our most enjoyable. From our first inquiry straight through until we received our deposit back (6 days later, and with a present, no less) this experience was perfect. The owners have great taste...this home should be in Architectural Digest! ( I later learned that the architects are quite well know locally, in fact...and that would explain the smooth living flow, and the gorgeous abundance of natural light). We loved the proximity to the big surf beaches in surfside, as well as having the huge yard and pool to come home to. The home is perfectly cared for; it is a nice balance of elegant, but not fancy; it is stylish, but not pretentious. In other words, it is a really nice home! The kind you don't want to leave! Our kids loved the easy bike path access to the beach or town. The owner was a very gracious hostess. We would love to come back again...hopefully soon! Thank you again for making our stay a great one."

  • Best In Town Rental!

"I have been coming to Nantucket for 30 years, and was thrilled to be able to rent the Firehouse condo. The location is perfect - walk out the door and you are in the heart of downtown. Everything is truly within walking distance - shopping, restaurants, beaches, etc. There's even a bakery directly across the street, as well. The condo is located above a lovely retail shop on the second and third floor of the building. The unit is beautifully decorated, and has a nice layout. There were three of us staying there this time around, and there was ample room for us. I stayed in the master suite on the third floor, which has a super comfortable king sized bed, a TV, sitting area, laundry, and a large master bathroom. My friends stayed in the twin bed room on the main floor, which had a bathroom right outside their room. We all commented about how comfortable the beds were, and the living room was lovely, too, with comfy seating and a TV. We loved being able to cook meals in the kitchen when we weren't dining out, and eat in the dining room or on the little deck off the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, a blender, taster, coffeemaker, etc. The bathrooms had plush towels, hairdryers, and robes for guests, too. Firehouse is bright with lots of windows and skylights. There was also a small office with a desk and router (wifi) and ample plugs for laptops, chargers, etc., which I found most useful since I had to do some work while I was there during the week. There is no need for a car here, but if you do need transportation, there's the WAVE (public bus), taxis, and UBER. We found ourselves walking everywhere, though - to the beach, great restaurants, out for coffee and cold-pressed juice, and we were even able to walk to the grocery store. I just left the island yesterday, and I am already dreaming about coming back. The owner and the management company were a pleasure to deal with. My friends and I LOVED staying here, and we will more than likely rent the Firehouse again, if it's available next year!"
