  • Dreamiest quietest yummiest barn EVER

"Met my best friend at the barn for a ladies weekend and we barely left because it was so good there. The barn is a new post and beam building, beautifully crafted, filled with windows and pottery and comfy couches and art and blankets. Apart from the chickens clucking here and there, it was perfectly quiet and the night stars were spectacular. We took two long walks nearby, and otherwise were just happy to cook and sleep and be in the amazing space. John and Analisa were in their house on the property while we were there, but they are lovely and we didn't hear or see them apart from them dropping off some fresh eggs. Will be back -- loved everything about the barn."

"Let me begin with some of the not so favorable things. The house was not as clean as a $100 cleaning fee should warrant. There was sand in the kitchen area and underneath a sofa, visibly apparent, was crackers and paper. The lawn on which we needed to walk to the dock was constantly littered with Canadian Geese feces. The shower in the bath had very poor water pressure. The furniture was below average. The tool shed in which was trash barrels and life jackets, etc. was very messy and crowded. The cable was basic channels without Red Sox availability. The favorable aspects were many. The property was very attractive. Despite the geese, the back lawn and front lawn were very well maintained. The dock was great for boating and fishing. The pond was loaded with fish. The gas grill worked fine once I realized the auto start did not work. There were beautiful prints on the walls. It was quiet. The owner was easily accessible and he responded very timely. He was also friendly and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. The highway was only ten minutes away. Overall the property was good with the potential for being very good. I do not know the solution to the geese problem, however, some sort of fence might work. Anyone familiar with the what Canadian Geese can do to a lawn or golf course can appreciate the damages they can do. And having to dodge the mess is very unpleasant. We cleaned it almost daily by shoveling and hosing with water. Frankly, I would hesitate to recommend this property unless there was evidence of these mentioned issues resolved."

  • Amazing Rental Property

"Tamarack Lake Estate is a fantastic place to spend a week with a large group. The location is stellar, the house is beautiful and extremely well equipped, and the privacy is perfect. We stayed here with extended family after my son's wedding. We could not have had a better week with a multi-generational group. The facilities were excellent: a quiet terrace for the oldies, kayaks and private beach for the youngsters, and a great patio for bringing the group together to welcome the evening in. A definite gold star rating for this rental!"

  • Wonderful home

"This vacation home was perfect. It has everything you need for the trip and the owner's have thought of everything in case you are coming by plane (like we were) - they had beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys. The decor was tasteful and the house was clean. The owner was extremely easy to contact about a simple question and she attended to the question immediately. The house made our excellent vacation spectacular1"
