"We came up from Orlando Fl for our son,s wedding .We enjoyed our stay at the Rocky Neck sun porch very much. The room was very comfortable and very reasonable . There is much to do in the area, lots of good restaurants nearby and many small, unique shops. The Bradshaw's are very nice and helpful."

  • Relax and Enjoy the View...

"My family had the most wonderful vacation at Paula and John's home this past June. Their house had everything we needed to stay for the week. There are great appliances in the kitchen and we often ate outside on the large deck. The outdoor shower was very convenient after a long day at the beach, which is just a short walk from the house. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog - he felt right at home. The main floor is light and bright and all of the bedrooms have extra sheets. Our two kids (14 and 11) had their own space in the downstairs bedrooms. There are games, books, and beach items as well. Our favorite part of the house is the roof top deck - AMAZING views! The house is clean, comfy and just what we were looking for. Paula and John are very easy to work with and we have already booked this home for next year!"

  • Perfect Family reunion!

"We were looking for a vacation home close to my son and his girlfriend in Medford. We brought with us my sister and her sons, so we were seven in the house. The house was exactly as advertised, spacious, clean, and well-appointed with areas to gather a large group together, but also space for people to get a little alone time. The sun room, patio table and dining table were great spots for our family game night. The location of the house was exactly what I hoped for. Residential, very quiet, beautifully maintained homes; a very short walk to the waterfront, which provided a scenic walkway to the beautiful downtown area. Downtown Newburyport proved hours of entertainment with it's seemingly endless assortment of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and specialty shops. The Tannery complex, which houses Jabberwocky bookstore and the very cute coffee house Chococoa, home of the famous whoopee pie, were an easy walk, and a frequent destination. Michael's Seafood on the river was a great place for us to enjoy our first night dinner out and get the lay of the land. The ride to the train station was short and easy and we enjoyed a day in Salem without the hassle of parking and driving. While in Salem we visited the Far From the Tree Cider Brewery, and enjoyed a flight of ciders on their patio. The train was clean and fast, and the trip itself was enjoyable as the track ran along a canal. We also enjoyed an old-fashioned parade and pre-fourth musical celebration in Swampscott on their beautiful Townhouse lawn. We packed a picnic dinner and enjoyed the free music. My son took my nephews college shopping in Boston, which may have been the highlight of the trip for them. Lisa, our host was welcoming and informative about local sites and events. If we ever have to bring the vacation to the kids again, Lisa's home would be our go-to! Thanks Lisa, for sharing your home with us!"

  • Clean, convenient, and lovely place to stay!

"We rented the house for a family reunion and it was perfect for our stay. Everyone had their own rooms (we also rented out the basement, which was very comfortable) and we all enjoyed the air-conditioned house during a blistery hot weekend in July. The mattresses and pillows were all quite comfortable, and Mary made sure each room had an AC and fan. There was plenty of space to lounge around between the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The house was perfectly located too - we could easily walk 20 min to downtown Salem to take in the sites, or just drive 5 min and be downtown in no time. Parking was very easy (the large driveway accommodated our three cars) and we took evening strolls around the charming neighborhood. The house is stocked with brochures, directions, maps, and suggestions on things to do, and Mary was the ultimate host. She suggested an itinerary for our family, gave perfect restaurant recommendations, and had insider knowledge about the town and its history. Mary is so nice and very easy to work with - she responded to my multiple inquiries quickly and politely, and I enjoyed meeting her when we checked in. We would definitely recommend staying at Leslie's Retreat and making a visit to Salem - we were there three days and could have stayed another week at least. Thank you Mary for making our family reunion perfect and memorable!"
