  • Perfect Location, downtown......across the street from the harbor, wonderful home!

"My husband and I stayed here for 1 month in the fall.....such a joy staying here, it felt like home. The owners/ hosts Jonathan and Ellie were very accommodating and helpful for any questions that came up during our stay. The driveway parking for the cottage was convenient and only a few steps from our door! As we entered this historic homestead through the arbor and gardens, on a cobblestone path, we could see how clean, charming and newly decorated it was. A welcome gift from Jonathan and Ellie awaited us on the kitchen table when we arrived! As cooks, we both enjoyed the new full size kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances, gas range and an open eating area, adorned with a skylight. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans, that one could possibly need for cooking, baking, cocktail making and........enjoying those lobster dinners. We so enjoyed the new Keurig coffee machine and supply of k cups to start up our morning. An open living room /tv area has a comfortable sectional sofa to relax on after those days of exploring. Good internet and cable was also provided. The bedrooms are decorated with nice bedding and comfortable beds (which is so important for many of us vacationers). One of the bedrooms has a cozy sitting area with t.v.and plenty of closet and dresser storage space. Skylights wash the two bedrooms in natural light. All the rooms have nice artwork and prints. There are two new bathrooms with good showers and plenty of towels and toiletries. Oh yes, we can't forget the fabulous new top of the line full size washer and dryer. Spot on efficient! It's an easy walk to all the beaches as well as Bearskin Neck, for shopping, eating and taking in all the sights of Rockport's historic harbor front and magnificent sea. Roy Moore's Fish Shack and Bean and Leaf Cafe (delicious pastries) are great go to spots for good eats. There are so many shops for anything and everything you'll want. We would highly recommend this rental to all of you who are looking for the perfect place of comfort in Rockport! Thank you, Jonathan and Ellie for a great stay in your lovely home!"

  • Amazing!

"Loved this place. . First, the place is immaculate. Comfy, cozy, the bed is so comfortable. The ocean is across the street and visible from your dining table or the porch, or the lawn, take your pick. And the innkeeper is terrific. We went off season, it was very quiet, which was perfect for us. There is a footpath less than a 1/2 block away where you can walk along the ocean, down to Old Garden Beach. Really couldn't ask for more for this place. Conveniently located between Rockport and Gloucester, easy access to either town. Grocery store is just down the street. Farm stand is at the end of the street. Highly recommend staying here!"

  • This property was super convenient, clean, bright and airy. Rockport is awesome!!

"We arrived late in the evening on a weekday, and the hostess had arranged that we text her when we were about an hour or so out. She met us and showed us the place w/ great efficiency. In the daylight, we were able to get a sense of how perfect this place was for my wife and I and our two daughters. We have been to Rockport many times, but this was the first time staying on the 'south' side of the city, as we usually stayed close to front or back beach. I must say we were quite pleased w/ the new view. Great access to beaches, old garden was a real gem, a less than 10 minute walk, and not nearly so crowded as front beach. We still walked down to Roy Moore's every night to get lobsters to bring home, and the walk back into town to Molly's for ice cream everynight was just as beautiful. The property has a very nicely redone kitchen, and having 1.5 bathrooms was very nice for our family, plus there's a very nice outdoor shower. All in all, we'd highly recommend this place to friends and family,,,and it's highly likely that we'd rent it again."

  • Loved this cozy cottage

"My husband, dog, and I spent three nights in this cozy, clean, and charming cottage. It's small and a bit worn, but we absolutely loved it. The location is fabulous--in a quiet area close to the water and within walking distance of a footpath towards town and Old Garden Beach. Laurie left a welcome basket with wine and a variety of snacks, and paid us a visit with her dog, Painter. If you are traveling with a dog, there's no place better to stay! We would love to stay here again."
