  • Wonderful Week in Mattapoisett!

"Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful week in Mattapoisett. The house easily accommodated our large family along with a small dog and the owner was very responsive to all inquiries we had. The large yard and spacious porches provided lots of space with beautiful views and the short walk to the town beach and harbor made this a perfect spot to host our young grandchild. We were very grateful that the home was air-conditioned, as it turned out to be. an abnormally hot week."

  • Great house for a family birthday celebration weekend!

"The house is terrific! Very well furnished, very comfortable beds and a gorgeous very spacious and well stocked kitchen, and the dining area has enough seating for 14. The deck and back year also very spacious and fun for a large group. Also very private. We brought our bocci set and everyone played in the back yard. Great views of the marshes but can't really see the ocean from the house due to the trees. 5 minute walk to the beach which again is pretty private. Deborah is truly delightful and very accommodating. Great house for a large group."

  • Amazing, secluded setting. Great for large groups.

"We recently hosted a week long family reunion here during the 4th of July week. The house easily accommodated our three families, including 6 adults, 4 teenagers, 2 pre-teens and a newborn. We also hosted a 4th of July pool party with over 60 guests, and it never felt crowded. The owners were very generous in allowing us to utilize all of their stored tables and equipment, including a volleyball net, pop-up tent and fire pits, etc. we felt like it was our own home. The house is walking distance to a city park as well as the Hingham Shipyard, with commuter boat service to Boston and the local islands. I would highly recommend a stay here."

  • Superb house, peaceful location

"This is a lovely house with very comfortable furnishings and amenities. Lots of seating, a beautiful deck overlooking the pond, and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is exceptional - you can tell that the owners like to cook. We made several meals for visiting family and it was a pleasure to prepare the meals and carry our plates out to the spacious table on the deck. The pond is great for swimming, and because no power boats are allowed, it is peaceful. The house is well screened from neighboring properties. The owner was a great host, providing towels, quality bedding, and prompt responses to questions. We enjoyed small touches such as the distinctive art work on walls throughout the house, and binoculars and a bird field guide. Highly recommended."
