  • It's the little things...

"What a way to spend the day. Our family would wake up and to the sounds of the waves where we would then enjoy a home cooked meal on the patio gazing out at the beautiful ocean. The kids could walk down to the beach and play then end the day watching the olympics, a perfect stay. But what I enjoyed the most was the little things the house provided to make your stay so warm and inviting. From the Keurig coffee machine and all the kitchen supplies needed to help feed my family, to the washer and dryer, not to mention the plenty of sleeping space, kayak, and beach supplies. The house was nicely decorated and felt up to date and current, a breath of fresh air! From the time I walked into the house until the time I left I felt at home. Thank you!!!!"

  • A wonderful place to celebrate Thanksgiving

"We recently had the opportunity to spend the holiday week at Michelle's lovely home in Situate. We chose this property because it was close to family, had a lovely kitchen to cook the holiday meals, and excellent proximity to everything the area has to offer. We were certainly not disappointed! The house was everything we had hoped for and much more. My granddaughter loved playing in the spacious back yard and the rest of the family enjoyed quality time between the very comfortable living areas and the large well appointed kitchen. And we walked off our eating extravaganzas at the state park just minutes away. Michelle was a delightful and welcoming host and we would certainly love to come back next time we're in the area."

  • Ahhhh the Serenity!!!

"Fantastic home for 6 couples gathering for a much anticipated reunion! Everyone had their own space to include full bathrooms and the common areas accommodated our group beautifully for eating and lounging inside and out. The neighbor/owner Fred was super friendly and on hand often - from the tour of the amenities of the home to handling a few issues we encountered. Heat in the lower level wasn't working properly so he supplied space heaters. When that tripped the circuit breaker in the lower level which we noticed quite late that night I got a call back from his helpful manager Emin to remind me where the fuse box was (which I should have remembered from the tour but since he covered so much info on the whole property that bit didn't stick!). They had a service technician out by the next day (Sat) and all was well! Fred stopped by a few more times thru out our stay to make sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. We noticed someone in the garage apartment a few times and found out that he's a friend of the family's - I would suggest letting holiday renters know about this up front so it doesn't alarm anyone. Fred is really laid back and I was so grateful for his attitude - we are friends who hadn't seen each other in nearly a decade and may have gotten a bit loud but Fred didn't mind us at all!! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate enough for us to be able to use the hot tubs but we did enjoy the back patio and fire pit in between rain showers one afternoon. I couldn't get the steam shower to work but that may have been operator error. One of our party used the sauna in one of the bathrooms and said it was great! Great stocked and supplied kitchen!! Everyone remarked on how comfortable the beds were. Nice linens and good thick large towels! I had hoped for unobstructed views of the water from the house but frankly we were too busy having fun to mind. I'm sure from the widow's walk that is the case but the weather didn't allow that. Train to the city was easy and stress free. The town of Scituate is charming, shops still open during low season. Given how comfortable and how much we enjoyed our stay in late Oct I can imagine how wonderful this property would be during the warmer months when all the amenities can be taken advantage of and enjoyed - looks like we will have to schedule another trip!! :)"
