  • Excellent location, home just as described

"Clean, comfortable, "on" the beach and exactly as pictured. The home is relatively close to 2 supermarkets (stop&shop and Star), 2 malls, plenty of restaurants, mom and pop stores and even a fresh off the boat fish store. It is ideal for day-trips to Boston or the Cape, and close to Plymouth, which has many consignment/antique shops. The neighborhood is quiet, clean and friendly. All we heard at night were waves and crickets. The queen-size bed upstairs is very comfortable, with plenty of storage space. There is also a loft with a thin, queen size mattress. The bedroom downstairs is equipped with bunk beds only, so I'd recommend the home to families with older kids that do not need constant supervision. The tile flooring makes it quite easy to clean up spills or sand tracks. Our landlord was extremely prompt and responsive in addressing an issue with the washer and sending back our deposit. That being said, here are a few things to be aware of. The beach is rocky. Bring water shoes. During our 2 week stay algae was on the beach and in the water most of the time, but if you swim beyond the immediate 10-15 feet deep "belt" the water is clear. To get on the beach you have to pass through some boulders. If you have problems with your balance, walk to the beach at end of the street and come back around. Dogs are allowed on the beach (one of the best perks yet), but in spite of local leash laws, some residents let their dogs roam free. Take appropriate measures to prevent unwelcome canine conflicts. The upstairs kitchen is stocked with enough silverware for 4 people and dishes for 8. There are pots and frying pans but only 1 baking sheet. If you plan on baking, bring your pans or buy aluminum ones like we did. There is no light on the back deck; bring a flashlight to better negotiate the steps at night. You do not need to bring any floating devices or beach toys, there are several under the deck. Overall, considering the home's amenities, maintenance state and location, the landlord's practices and the price, this is one of the best homes we have ever rented."

  • Great Lake House & Perfect Location to visit Cape Cod

"This was our 8th year at the Plymouth lake house. The accommodations are great - everything you could possibly need. The cottage is well maintained and is enjoyed by our whole family. The lake is beautiful & peaceful and our grandchildren wake up and jump right in! Access to the Cape is just minutes away. It is one of your favorite vacations each year."

  • Amazing, secluded setting. Great for large groups.

"We recently hosted a week long family reunion here during the 4th of July week. The house easily accommodated our three families, including 6 adults, 4 teenagers, 2 pre-teens and a newborn. We also hosted a 4th of July pool party with over 60 guests, and it never felt crowded. The owners were very generous in allowing us to utilize all of their stored tables and equipment, including a volleyball net, pop-up tent and fire pits, etc. we felt like it was our own home. The house is walking distance to a city park as well as the Hingham Shipyard, with commuter boat service to Boston and the local islands. I would highly recommend a stay here."

  • Been home less than a week and ready to go back to Terry's place!

"Our family just returned from a great week at Terry's beautiful and unique home near Plymouth. Every day we discovered something new in the house. Full of signs, decorations, and just cool stuff everywhere. Terry has such a unique house!!! There were turkeys visiting every single day. They would just wander through the backyard. The first morning they had probably 15 baby turkeys along. Had a random cat visit for a couple days. So nice to go out on the back deck in the morning and look out over the lake. We did a lot of running and visiting places- Hyannis, Plymouth, Sandwich, Boston, etc. The house was in a great location and made it a reasonable distance for all our day trips. The large living room downstairs made it super comfortable for all five of us to hang out and watch tv in the evening. There was absolutely everything you need for a stay. We really didn't need anything but our clothes. Terry had everything stocked up for our stay. Terry was SUPER in answering any questions we had. Really happy with our stay here! Grocery store was just down the road and it was such a short drive to Plymouth. Terry was also super fast in returning our deposit. Just received in mail today with a really nice note. HIGHLY recommend staying at Terry's PLACE!!!"
