  • Great home in wonderful area

"This rental is a great place. The home is clean and the location is so convenient! Great area with many things to do. The waterfront is gorgeous. Every day we see a different set of animals. Deer, ducks, swans. The private road is so nice and provides you with lots of peace and quiet. The price is reasonable, and the property manager was very accommodating."

  • Beautiful Fall Wedding

"I'm not sure how to put into words how lucky I feel to have stumbled upon this beautiful property. This is the only venue we checked out, we didn't need to see anything else. My husband and I were married here on 9/26/15 and we spent the weekend here. Denise and her team are absolutely amazing. Denise was always quick to respond, incredibly personable, and never made me feel like a burden. Julie was incredibly attentive and made sure everything looked great every day. Julie met us at the castle when we went to check it out and between her and the setting we were blown away. Their helpers for the day of along with DJ Steve, Kurt, and Faulkner's Catering (what I saw as the Inner Circle team) all came together and helped us make the day better than I could have ever imagined. The home is beautiful inside and made a gorgeous backdrop for the rehearsal, rehearsal meal, getting ready the day of, and reflecting on the wedding on Sunday morning. I woke up Saturday morning with my team of girls and walked the property to 'visit' the horses up front and the goats and chickens and Mr. Pea in the back all while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. The pool was great and the hot tub was even better. I'm pretty sure we were up until 5am the night of the wedding just relaxing with drinks and the few leftover guests we allowed to stay and relax with us. Julie keeps it extremely clean and the temperature was perfect. She was a silent helper as we didn't even realize she was there to turn on the hot tub and turn it off. Denise, Julie, and their helpers were awesome at helping us set everything up on Saturday. I set up one table with a centerpiece and they put out the rest and it looked perfect. They made sure all candles and LED lights were lit once it started to get dark out and helped to clean them all up at the end of the night. They helped keep the day running smoothly and without a hitch! At least none that I was aware of. My guests were all impressed and in awe. The girls in the bridal party and the hairdressers loved the opportunity to stay in the castle and get ready there. We hate to admit that it's all over, and I think that's the reason for delay in my review. I hope we get the opportunity to return soon. I know some of my family is excited to return and spend some time there with us as well. The short of it? Fairy-tale setting, gorgeous photos, incredible atmosphere, amazing down to earth staff... 10/10 I'd do it all over again."

  • The whole clan

"The location, yard, beach is amazing! we rented both house and cottage. Lake Huron is so clean and beautiful. Until we arrived were not aware there was no AC. The big house was manageable with the breeze off the lake. The cottage was almost unbearable despite the abundance of fans provided. Owner provides ample starter supplies, and kayaks, bikes etc. The tips about water shoes were much appreciated! And the ability to bring our dogs was a blessing. They had a great time! Cons to the site were the advertised wi-fi is not sufficient for online college classes, or work purposes. The lack of privacy in the cottage (the 2 bedrooms are connected with a door that has no knob and doesn't lock) bathroom with a shower so small that a petite female can barely move, and the lack of AC.The cottage floors were all cement which did work out well with not having to worry about wet sandy dogs. The cottage was more like glorified camping,, so disappointing due to the $ we paid. We did have a great week of good weather and family time."
