  • ThisIsIt-June 2016

"This is the first year my family decided to vacation somewhere north of our home, and the change of location was well worth it. ThisIsIt features a roomy cottage, which easily housed 8 of us (5 adults and 3 kids) as well as a pet, and includes all the amenities you can think of. The beach area with the fire pit was a great way to end our days making smores and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Having a pontoon to use was a fun addition to our vacation that isn't available at most rentals. We would use it to fish, drive out to the sandbar where the water is waste deep to swim, or just cruise around the quaint lake to enjoy the weather. I would highly recommend staying at ThisIsIt for a relaxing get away. Thanks for a great vacation!"

  • Pure Michigan

"This was our second summer vacation at Jim and Kerren's place on Long Lake. It was ideal for our family of 4. It's a really clean house with lots of windows overlooking a lovely lawn that leads you down to the water's edge. Plenty of visits from ducks and even a family of loons dropped by. The view there is wonderful and we had a most relaxing week. Jim and Kerren do a great job communicating and we hope to visit again next summer."

  • Absolutely perfect!

"Our family spent a week in August 2015, ages range from our youngest grandchild at 18 months old, to my husbands 80 year old mother. Fun for the whole family. The pontoon boat was great, we used it for fishing, swimming at the sand bar, at the public beach across the lake, and for evening cruises. There is a nice fire pit, safe for the children, Paul had a full supply of dry fire wood on hand. The beach area at the cottage is well groomed, our grandchildren built several sand castles. The cottage is clean, the kitchen is well equipped, plenty of towels, bedroom linens and blankets, all of great quality. Washer and dryer is a huge plus! We enjoyed breakfast on the deck, watching the sunrise and listening to the loons. Paul has plenty of outdoor furniture, we enjoyed most of our meals outdoors! Just before our arrival, a large storm went though the area and lightening damaged a part on the central air unit. Paul came up to the cottage right away, installed a window unit, and got a repair man out the very next day for the central air. So we were very comfortable. While Paul does not live nearby, he was attentive and easy to contact. We would go back in a minute! We recommend Paul's cottage for any one looking for a great place to get away, whether your goal is pure relaxation, or playing hard! We opted for both!"

  • A little slice of heaven! Perfect family getaway!

"Our family of 6 started our summer vacation off here, with a bang, at this amazing property. I am telling you that EVERYTHING you could possibly need, is HERE! No detail went unnoticed. The cottage was beautifully decorated with that rustic, cabin look. Fully stocked, updated kitchen had every single possible thing you would need and more. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfy. My kids LOVED the boat and beach area. The kayaks were a total hit too. We spent a lot of time outside, playing in the sand and just enjoying the peace and quiet. The surrounding neighbors were friendly too! My boys enjoyed exploring the sandbar and the "Loon island", as they called it, in the Kayak's. We also got to see a bald eagle. The sunsets were unreal. Talk about front row seats to God's handiwork! A small town is located just minutes away with a grocery store that sells the most AMAZING fresh bread. We also were very close to some great sights like Lumberman's Monument and Huron National Park. We LOVED this stay so much that we are hoping to make it one of our annual family getaways. After a full week here, we were all sad to leave. It truly felt like home! A special thank you to Melody and Randy for making this cottage so cozy. You guys went above and beyond to meet the needs of your guests. <3"
