  • Unforgettable Week

"This was our second week long stay at the LeBlanc Home and it was exactly what we all needed. We stayed last year as well, but the weather this time was unforgettable. With 3 grand parents, 4 parents, and 5 kids aged 6 and under, we were able to have serious beach and lake time all but one day. We love Tawas, Marions Ice Cream, Mr. G's pizzeria, flying kites, playing games in the evenings with all the windows open, and can't say enough about the views. The neighbors are very kind as well. We hope to book another week next Summer as well, eveyone is already looking forward to it."

  • Perfect Family House

"House- Perfect for a family vacation. You do have the feeling of being up North but are only 10 minutes away from downtown East Tawas. The house is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Located right on Lake Huron on a very quiet street. The sun rising over the lake is breathtaking. We were able to enjoy a full moon. The Kelly's provide a telescope so you can enjoy the night sky. The Tall Ships came back up from Bay City, many sail boats and freighters. The Lighthouse/Tawas State park is 3 miles away. Restaurants/Shopping-So many to choose from. We enjoyed G's pizza and Mr. Jack'ss. We stayed away from downtown on Friday and Saturday(very busy). We went into town on Tuesday and Wednesday and were seated immediately. Many, many cute shops for shopping with unique and unusual gifts. If you're looking for t-shirts or sweatshirts with East Tawas on it, visit Ben Franklin first. Lakefront- The house has a two tiered deck that is right on lake that you can enjoy the view from. At this time, there is no safe access from the deck to the lake because of the lake level being high and the stairs were damaged over the winter. There are boulders to left that you can get down, but it was hard for my 7 and 9 year old and for me. There is lake access that is just 3 houses down with a small beach. It was not an inconvenience . Sandy, sandy bottom that we enjoyed. We were able to swim/walk and look at the houses from the lakeside. We did use the 2 beaches in town which are beautiful too. The kids were able to make new friends while playing at the beach . I would highly recommend this house for rental. But of course, there were a few things that we saw. The lakeside decks needed to be sanded and sealed. Was afraid of my children getting slivers and were constantly telling them to put on their shoes. There is no air conditioning and only 2 small fans were provided. We did have 2-90° days. A bigger fan is needed. You can strategically place the fans and work with the natural breezes from the lake to cool the house. And my last suggestion, binoculars . We found ourselves many times wanting to get a closer look at the freighters and the ships that were going by. Thank you for sharing your house."

  • Great trip!

"The first day back to work after a vacation is always difficult. Four days of vacation is NOT enough. We stayed at Tim's cabin from a Monday and checked out on Friday. That just wasn't enough time. The cabin was cozy and very comfortable. Everything you needed was at your fingertips: from misc spices, heavy bath towels, to kitchen utensils, cast iron skillets and we even found the 'right' glasses for anything you choose to drink. The hot tub was a bonus that we took advantage of after we hiked all the stairs at the Lumberman's Memorial (what an experience - but I do recommend taking the challenge). The beach was great but we never had the opportunity to just sit and enjoy it. The deck is like a 3rd living room. I am sure that's where I'd be anytime the weather was good. The drive to town was doable and everything that you'd need you'd find there easily. We had a wonderful and memorable visit at Tim's cabin. If VRBO reviews help you make a decision as to where to stay, then this is the cabin to choose. I'd love to visit again. Tim was easily reached by text and was wonderful to work with. Thanks again Tim for your hospitality. The cabin is a gem and one I'd live in year round if I could. Your Friends, Mara and Brian"

  • Beautiful place to stay!!!

"Just completed a week at this house with my two daughters, six year old twin grandsons and sister and my husband and I. House was very clean. Dream kitchen!! The grandsons loved trying to catch minnows and frogs, kept them busy for hours. Beautiful beach, no rocks. All the water toys were great. This is a great place to stay. Will definitely be back."
