  • Enjoyable family time

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent on the Lake at the Pointe. Tricia is easy to work with and the home is well maintained and at a perfect spot to relax. We will consider it again when we return on vacation. Thanks Fred C and Family"

  • Cute Cottage in a Great Location

"We had a great week in this cute cottage. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils for any type of cooking. The property owner always promptly returned our emails. The property had a lot of privacy from the neighboring homes. The yard had a two hammocks and a nice swing for relaxing. From the swing we enjoyed watch the views on the lake and the sunset. At the cottage we did a lot of kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and fishing. Both of our boys caught a lot of small perch, bluegill and sunfish from the dock. We were surprised with all of the different outdoor activities in the surrounding area and how the cottage seemed to be close to everything. We went to three different Lake Huron beaches. We fished, hiked and biked at Thompson Harbor State Park. We hiked and swam at Rockport State Rec. Area. We visited both Presque Isle lighthouses. We also hiked and fished at the Herman Vogler Conservation Area. We would have loved to do more, but the week went by way too fast."

  • Perfect lakefront property

"Stayed a week with wife and our dog. Really appreciated being able to rent such a nice place that is also pet friendly. The lake is clean and very pretty, lake frontage and dock are great, we used the small rowboat that is on property and you can access all parts of the like within 10 minutes by rowing. Between rowing and nice walks on the rarely travelled roadways all around the lakes, and golf in Alpena, we got a lot of exercise in. Lake Huron shore is within very accessible walking distance. The deck facing the lake is great for hanging out, as is the fire pit above the shorefront. The loft bed is a king and very comfortable, on suite bath is right there in the loft as well. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and cooked out on the gas and weber grills several nights. Perfect spot for a nice relaxing trip to get recharged."

  • Beautiful isolated spot

"The house was very clean & there was no mildew smell, which I've been told can be common. The views from the beach & loft are beautiful. The sun room bares little resemblance to the photos; besides a wicker chair & ottomon it is pretty empty. It is a half hour drive from downtown Alpena. The real estate company which handled the rental was quite laid back; the email with address/lock box info that was sent to me came back to them undelivered (they didn't follow up with that); I had to call HomeAway to get a phone # and ended up making 2 phone calls, days apart to get the info."
