  • Beautiful getaway with all the comforts of home!

"Both cottages are clean and welcoming with many modern upgrades. The view of the lake is amazing! Be sure to get up early for a sunrise at least once during your stay and stay up late to watch for shooting stars. The owners have thought of everything your family may need to have a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed the great fishing, stargazing, canoeing, swimming, bonfires, and searching for cray fish and fossils. It was a great getaway and many memories were made."

  • Beautiful, peaceful, and a MUST!

"I would encourage anyone who needs a place to relax, fish and need of seclusion! The owners, Steve and Vickie, keep a beautiful 2 bedroom home, by far exceeds a cabin, share a beautiful place on Ocqueoc Lake. It was hard to come home to everyday life in which is busy; yet, you miss your family. I read 3 books, enjoyed fishing at night, meeting Alvin and Theodore the friendly chipmunks. Loved watching my favorite hummingbirds. Steve offered to take our car to Lake Huron for us to kayak starting from Ocqueoc Lake into Ocqueoc River and then into Hammond Bay, unfortunately weather kept us from kayaking further. We will definitely go back. Thank you Steve and Vickie for the peacefulness that I was in need of. The stay was so needed. I love the happy hour shadow!! If you want to know what that means, book a stay!!"

  • Fantastic Home Away from Home

"I grew up in Rogers City and now when I return, the Lake House is my first choice for accommodations. The Lake House location is perfect and you can see Lake Huron and activity at the marina while you eat breakfast. You can go for bike rides and walks along the Sunrise Trail which passes by the house. (The bike ride to 40 Mile Point is highly recommended.) What makes this such a great place to stay is Mark. He simply is a great host. He makes you feel welcome and makes sure you are comfortable. Once when I forgot something at the house he went to great lengths to make sure it got back to me. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Rogers City, look no further than the Lake House. I"ll be back!"

  • Cute Cottage in a Great Location

"We had a great week in this cute cottage. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils for any type of cooking. The property owner always promptly returned our emails. The property had a lot of privacy from the neighboring homes. The yard had a two hammocks and a nice swing for relaxing. From the swing we enjoyed watch the views on the lake and the sunset. At the cottage we did a lot of kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and fishing. Both of our boys caught a lot of small perch, bluegill and sunfish from the dock. We were surprised with all of the different outdoor activities in the surrounding area and how the cottage seemed to be close to everything. We went to three different Lake Huron beaches. We fished, hiked and biked at Thompson Harbor State Park. We hiked and swam at Rockport State Rec. Area. We visited both Presque Isle lighthouses. We also hiked and fished at the Herman Vogler Conservation Area. We would have loved to do more, but the week went by way too fast."
