  • Great Spot! Awesome Location!

"We had a great time at this spot! My whole family came in from all over the USA and stayed here for 7 nights. It was everything we wanted and more! Great access to Lake Huron as well as being very close to many day trips around the area. I think we had a bonfire every single night. The only con to this location was that in the contract for renting the house it said we could bring fireworks and one of the neighbors complained one morning about scaring her dog. We called the local law enforcement and asked if it was ok for us to have them and they said yes as well as the home owner. This very same neighbor came onto the property to, yet again, complain when one of the younger girls was using snap pops by the fire. We all spent a bunch of money to light these off in celebration of a birthday and now we all don't know when the next time we will be together to do this again. She stalked the front of the house almost every day. Other than that, the house came with almost every amenity you could want!"

  • Most Amazing Sunsets

"Our family rented this cottage 5 years ago. Each year since, we have rented a cottage in different locations. We loved and missed this place so much that we came back this year. It is so beautiful and peaceful here. The house is tucked into the woods with a beautiful view of the bay. There are no immediate neighbors to one side and the owners have the cottage on the other side. It feels very private. The house is very clean and we comfortably slept 10 people (5 adults, 5 children). However, I did not spend too much time in the house because it is so beautiful to sit outside on the deck or in the water. There are also some small trails to walk on through the woods. The beach is very rocky, no sand, but there is a small platform deck to sit on. Aqua shoes are a must as the lake bottom is all rock, too. But the water is so clear and because it is shallow, it is relatively warm. We were able to just put our chairs in the water and relax. The kids had fun swimming. The bay is also the perfect place to kayak. I can't say enough about how beautiful it is here. The pictures shown don't do it justice. I highly recommend that the owner add some panoramic views of the shoreline. Also, you must catch the sunset at night. It is amazing and each night it was different. If you are lucky, you may also catch a storm passing over Lake Huron in the distance at night. We saw some of the wildest lightening across the sky."

  • Amazing week on Grand Lake

"We had a wonderful time staying at Dana's cottage on Grand Lake. You are near so many beautiful places to visit. We visited the lighthouses, rode bikes, took many long walks with our dogs, built a fire in the fireplace on a chilly night, and enjoyed an Beautiful and different sunset view every night on the deck overlooking the lake. We cant recommend the experience enough, so do yourself a favor."

  • Secluded Cottage on Waterfront

"The cottage was lovely, actually better than most up-north cottages by having a little more updated feel. It was clean and tidy, uncluttered and inviting. The spacious lot had serene woods plus of course a great stairway to the private beach on beautiful Lake Huron. One of my dogs wouldn't let the cold October water keep him out. We had a great, relaxing time enjoying Michigan Autumn. We didn't see the bald eagles, but my brave dog did get acquainted with a porcupine! It could've been a lot worse, but he survived with just a few quills as souvenirs. I guess the stay wasn't all completely relaxing ;) It was an interesting experience!"
