  • Most Amazing Sunsets

"Our family rented this cottage 5 years ago. Each year since, we have rented a cottage in different locations. We loved and missed this place so much that we came back this year. It is so beautiful and peaceful here. The house is tucked into the woods with a beautiful view of the bay. There are no immediate neighbors to one side and the owners have the cottage on the other side. It feels very private. The house is very clean and we comfortably slept 10 people (5 adults, 5 children). However, I did not spend too much time in the house because it is so beautiful to sit outside on the deck or in the water. There are also some small trails to walk on through the woods. The beach is very rocky, no sand, but there is a small platform deck to sit on. Aqua shoes are a must as the lake bottom is all rock, too. But the water is so clear and because it is shallow, it is relatively warm. We were able to just put our chairs in the water and relax. The kids had fun swimming. The bay is also the perfect place to kayak. I can't say enough about how beautiful it is here. The pictures shown don't do it justice. I highly recommend that the owner add some panoramic views of the shoreline. Also, you must catch the sunset at night. It is amazing and each night it was different. If you are lucky, you may also catch a storm passing over Lake Huron in the distance at night. We saw some of the wildest lightening across the sky."

  • Perfect week for our family

"It was the perfect week long getaway! We enjoyed privacy and comfort at Kip's house. The kids loved the unlimited access to the (clear) lake, and we loved the quiet mornings, spectacular sunrises and sunrises, and nightly bonfires. Kip's house had everything we needed. We will be coming back again and would love to see the place in the winter. Kip (the owner) was always available if we needed him and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He was a fun loving guy who always made us feel at home. We'll be coming back!!"

  • LAKE ARROWHEAD COTTAGE

"Best vacation ever. We had the whole family together for a week in this awesome cottage, our three children, their spouses and three small granddaughters . There was plenty of space, the home was very clean, water pressure was great and the owners were good to work with. The two levels worked out for us, we kept the grand kids in the lower level so they could sleep without the adult noise. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels, fans for the hot days, a washer and dryer and even toys for the kids. Plenty of table space for games and dinners. We were lucky enough to have great weather everyday. We rented a pontoon boat, used the kayaks and the paddle boat and fished off the dock. We golfed most mornings and the courses are pretty close (stay away from Wilderness Valley and The Black Forest, terrible conditions). The pool is awesome, just the right temperature and within walking distance. We went to the pool at least once a day. I think our favorite spot was the long wrap around porch, we sat there most of the time just enjoying the beautiful view. The stars at night were amazing. Lake Arrowhead is a hidden gem. We have enjoyed going to a different location every year, but everyone voted to come back again next year. I highly recommended this wonderful, relaxing cottage."

  • Great

"Our stay was great. Kevin and Joy were very nice to work with. Clean spacious and comfortable. Felt like we were kids again back in a cottage from our early years. More than enough kitchen equipment updated bathrooms Our grandchildren loved the swimming, boat and fishing. Rarely watched TV as there was always something else to do. Pier and dock need to be addressed as it is rickety and not stable. Difficult time getting in and out of the boat att times especially if it's is a windy day. I would definitely stay again. Just needs to be tweaked a little. GREAT TIME! Owners are great to work with."
