  • A great, relaxing week and an awesome place to stay.

"We spent a week at Betsie River Lodge and were very happy with the accommodations. The house is clean, well laid out and nicely appointed. It has everything you should need and all of it was modern and in great working order. The only downside is the river access. It's a fairly steep, washed out path that was a little tricky to navigate with our kayaks, especially our tandem. Other than the access, it affords a great starting point for a 3 plus hour float depending on where you want to take out. There are also many things to do and see close by other than the river. Overall, it was a great getaway for our family of four."

  • Great Experience

"My friend got married in Traverse City so a group of four of us stayed in this condo and we loved it. There are cute shops and nice restaurants on the ground floor. It was a perfect location whether driving or taking a taxi places. John is very quick with responding and very friendly. The condo was very clean when we arrived and had all the amenities you need! I highly recommend this condo!!"

  • Perfect Vacation

"This place exceeded expectations! This is a perfect getaway; secluded on 10 acres across from Upper Herring Lake. The home itself is immaculate and practically everything you can think of is at your fingertips. Wonderful for quiet mornings watching birds on the deck while sipping coffee and being wowed by the amazing star show at night. We kayaked the lake twice and continued on Herring Creek for an extended trip seeing herons and a couple of eagles. We biked the Betsie Trail over to Beulah on beautiful Crystal Lake for some swimming and the charming Cherry Hut. We took a day trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes, biking the Heritage Trail and swimming in the (and I'm not kidding) turquoise waters of Lake Michigan near Glen Lake. Frankfort itself is charming, nice variety of restaurants; we enjoyed Dinghy's, Bayview Grille, Fusion (sushi!), Stormcloud Brewing (great local microbrews) and the many ice cream shops on Main Street. Don't forget the Lighthouse Café in Elberta across Betsie Bay. We picked large, sweet blueberries at the self serve! patch about a mile down the road. Sunsets on Frankfort Beach were awesome. You can stay until the sun drops completely below the horizon and till have enough time to drive back to Upper Herring before the skies go black and the shooting star show starts. Don't forget other local attractions such as Green Point Dunes, Inspiration Point near Arcadia & Gravity Hill (you have to do it!) All in all, this was a perfect getaway week for the family; we plan on returning. Well done, Chris & Annabelle!"

  • Beautiful Condo, Perfect Location!

"Every year we rent a place in Traverse City for my family of 4 for one week. My husband's family lives in TC, but with 2 young kids, sharing one single room with a family member is not an ideal situation. So far, we've rented a different place every year, but I think that ends here. This condo was PERFECT. We've stayed in the Grand Traverse Commons before and loved it (that condo is not longer a rental), so we thought we would try it again this year and I'm so glad we did. The space is so gorgeous and really well laid out. The living room features huge windows on 2 walls, so there is so much beautiful natural light. The ceilings are 13 foot and make you feel like the space is gigantic. The bedrooms are gorgeous and I'm not kidding you, I wanted to move the bed from the master bedroom home with me, it is SO comfortable. Along with the master bathroom, which is HUGE. In addition to all of that, they literally provide everything you might need. There wasn't a single time that we had to run out for more of anything. They even had shampoo/conditioner/soap/spices/condiments/beach towel, it truly was amazing. Lastly, the Grand Traverse Commons are just beautiful. The buildings are gorgeous, the grounds are beautiful and the shopping and restaurants and coffee and cheesecake and everything is just so wonderful to have steps away. I honestly recommend this property to everyone (but please, leave a week open in the summer for us!)."
