  • Ski Weekend

"Stayed here for two nights with friends, 4 adults, 3 kids, and were very pleased with the house and accommodations. Plenty of beds and room to relax in. Large kitchen was great and had everything we needed to cook one of our dinners for our hungry crew of skiers. Had dinner our first night at Shorts Brewery in Bellaire, which was really good (beer and food) and a short drive away. Loved the location in the woods, very pretty and felt secluded. Gloria (owner) was very nice and easy to work with in getting everything arranged. No problems at all with the house or the reservation. Would also be a great setting in the summer. Outdoor fire pit area looked like a great place to hang out. Would definitely stay here again when we ski at Schuss."

  • Very clean, modern and spacious directly on the lake. Plenty of room for our family.

"Great time was had by all. Morning and evening fishing from the private dock resulted in over 50 perch for the week and several bass. We loved the quick proximity to Torch lake and rented a pontoon for the day. Many beaches around and easy trips to Traverse City too. We were very pleased with the cottage and property. We will be back!"

  • Awesome lakefront cottage!!

"We just returned from a week's stay at this great cottage right on Intermediate Lake in Belllaire, MI. The center is town is just a few minutes away and has an excellent brewery for lunch/dinner (Short's), as well as a very busy ice cream stand! There is also a post office, grocery store (Family Fare), and laundromat within a 10 minute drive. If you are looking to go to mass while you are visiting, you may be surprised and happy to see a Catholic church just down the street! The cottage itself is great. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Although the bathroom/shower was small... it did the trick perfectly. There are three bedrooms, 2 with queen or full bed and the other has 2 sets of 2 bunk beds. There is a small TV with cable provided and the WIFI was excellent/fast!! The cottage itself was very clean and you can tell that Todd and Julie take pride in this property. The lawn was meticulous and the flowers planted throughout the property were in full bloom and beautiful. We loved the clothesline in the yard... used that a lot to dry towels and bathing suits. Trash is picked up onsite weekly, so you don't need to worry about delivering it any place. There is no A/C... but even during a heat wave while we were there (temps were 90-92), we didn't feel hot. Once the sun went down, we opened up the windows and had a nice lake breeze to cool the inside. My kids (6 and 8) loved jumping off the dock and playing water games. The water felt pretty warm in August. My husband went fishing every day in the rented kayak provided by the homeowners. Although it wasn't as stable as a fishing kayak, it did the trick and he was happy to catch some fish. We took day trips to Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We also drove up to the UP to see what it was like. There were so many great places to see/do all within a 90 minutes-2 hour drive. We drove from PA to this rental cottage to see what Michigan was like. It was a vacation that did not disappoint. I hope we can return someday to this lovely cottage!!"

  • New owners of this home are GREAT to work with.

"A couple of family members and I decided on the spur of the moment to do a spring get away. We only had a week to plan. Came across this home, sent a request, and the same day the owner responded. She was very easy to work with and professional. Within no time everything was set to go. She even let us check in a little sooner since no one was staying there the night before. When we arrived at the PRIVATE GATED community. We typed in the access code and entered the subdivision. The subdivision must have a few hundred lots, but not to many homes. So it was very peaceful and quiet. The house sits back off the road which made it even more secluded. The house was very well kept up. Landscaping was beautiful, the hot tub a extra bonus, but the waterfall wasn't turn on yet or the Koi fish weren't there. Since we were there to early in the season. So we differently have to go back to stay to see that. The inside of the home was cozy with separate sleeping areas. The 3 of us all had private bedroom suites. Kitchen was well equipped as well as the bathrooms with extra soaps, shampoos and toilet tissue. The town of Bellaire was just a short 15 minute driveway. Great pastry/coffee shop plus restaurants. The Smokehouse was a good find to. We enjoyed taking walks through the hilly subdivision and sitting on the deck during the days and evenings. Most differently will have to stay there again."
