"Great place to stay for a large group of people. Walking distance to Boyne Mtn Village and close to many golf courses. I would highly recommend Tom's Rental. Mike"

  • Exceeded our expectations.

"Wonderful place for our family of 8's long ski weekend… Great location to both ski slopes and lodge, decor and layout was awesome, hot tub and outdoor/indoor fireplace was amazing at the end of a fun day, and JJ was great to work with! Would definitely recommend this place, and will return."

  • Great Family Vacation Location

"We enjoyed our stay in Boyne Mountain. The cabin was perfect for all of us (5 teenage boys, daughter & son-in-law and 6mo old son. The boys used the basement as their own 'man-cave' and it really worked well. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, some of the baking pans looked a bit used but I just lined them with foil if needed. Plenty of cupboard space for any food, supplies or snacks that we either bought or brought along. The laundry facilities there were very high end so it made all the laundry sorta fun! We did not have lp in the tank for the grill and our ice machine wasn't working when we arrived, but after I contacted Scott, he sent someone out the following morning with a full tank and 2 large bags of ice. Anytime we needed to contact the owners, they responded quickly and were very helpful. The location was really perfect. We felt like we were in the mountains, secluded, and yet only a short distance from Deer Lake and a nice beach, golf course, etc. The trail behind our place was a nice walk up to the top of Boyne Mountain and then over to the ski lift where we could ride the ski-lift down into the little village. We found plenty to do around our Cabin. We did not realize until we arrived that the Deer Lake beach and Golf Course area was a part of the resort so that added more things to keep us busy...and for no extra cost! There was Disc Golf at the Ski Resort, little shops in the resort, a large hot tub and pool, tennis courts (we rented rackets there-$2/day), a putting Green by Deer Lake, shuffle board, kayaks, and more tennis courts. We visited Petosky State Park, Macinac Island, and rented a pontoon near Boyne City another day. Other than that, we spent our time at the cabin and the resort and had plenty to do to keep us entertained. The firepit in the back was a nice way to spend an evening too. I would recommend this property to all of my was a relaxing family retreat with few extra costs for entertainment. I would definitely visit again."

  • Very nice home to stay in. A very good location for easy access to the area.

"We arrived late at night and the direction provided put us right at the front door. If you are flying in you may want to ask for a street address before going so you can provided it to the airline if they loose your baggage (lesson learned) . The property is well kept and was very clean. All of the things that were in the properties description were in the cabin. We only used the cooking area of the kitchen a couple of times due to having so many good choices for dining out. Boyne City is only a few minutes away with a large selection of place to eat and relax. We visited both tap rooms and found them very nice with good food too. Many of the people in for the wedding were staying ant the Boyne Mountain Resort and after seeing their rooms I was very pleased to have selected to stay at the cabin. If we wanted to swim there are several area lakes near by that we could have visited. If you enjoy golf there are many good courses in the vicinity. We had gone up to the North Country for a wedding. Arriving early for the wedding we were able to invite my siblings and their families to the cabin for an afternoon get together. The cabin's large dining and sitting area provided plenty of room for all to enjoy. The younger set also took advantage of the air hockey table and dart board in the lower living area. The stream at the back of the property is very nice but you will want to be careful as you walk in the woods due to some poison ivy in the area. We were also entertained by watching 2 turkey hens walk through the property with their brood of about 15 chicks. I will look forward to returning to the area again in the near future and hope that the property will be available again. Any time I had a question for the owners I received prompt and detailed replies. It was a pleasure dealing with them!"
