"We enjoyed our stay in Boyne Mountain. The cabin was perfect for all of us (5 teenage boys, daughter & son-in-law and 6mo old son. The boys used the basement as their own 'man-cave' and it really worked well. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, some of the baking pans looked a bit used but I just lined them with foil if needed. Plenty of cupboard space for any food, supplies or snacks that we either bought or brought along. The laundry facilities there were very high end so it made all the laundry sorta fun! We did not have lp in the tank for the grill and our ice machine wasn't working when we arrived, but after I contacted Scott, he sent someone out the following morning with a full tank and 2 large bags of ice. Anytime we needed to contact the owners, they responded quickly and were very helpful.
The location was really perfect. We felt like we were in the mountains, secluded, and yet only a short distance from Deer Lake and a nice beach, golf course, etc. The trail behind our place was a nice walk up to the top of Boyne Mountain and then over to the ski lift where we could ride the ski-lift down into the little village. We found plenty to do around our Cabin. We did not realize until we arrived that the Deer Lake beach and Golf Course area was a part of the resort so that added more things to keep us busy...and for no extra cost! There was Disc Golf at the Ski Resort, little shops in the resort, a large hot tub and pool, tennis courts (we rented rackets there-$2/day), a putting Green by Deer Lake, shuffle board, kayaks, and more tennis courts. We visited Petosky State Park, Macinac Island, and rented a pontoon near Boyne City another day. Other than that, we spent our time at the cabin and the resort and had plenty to do to keep us entertained. The firepit in the back was a nice way to spend an evening too. I would recommend this property to all of my friends...it was a relaxing family retreat with few extra costs for entertainment. I would definitely visit again."
