  • Top Family Spot on Lake Charlevoix

"Perfect home and location for a family vacation with a nice flat yard and beach on beautiful Lake Charlevoix. The protected bay allows for mooring or docking water craft, and is perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking. The large firepit was a wonderful way to spend the evening for the family. The owners were very responsive to questions, the home is clean, and everything (appliances, A/C, furnishings) is in good condition. We have been renting homes on Lake Charlevoix for 18 consecutive years, and this home is one of the nicest we have rented."

  • Great fit for a large group!

"We had a great stay at the Ranger House. The house can truly hold large families and groups with everyone sleeping comfortably! Kitchens were fully stocked with everything we need - even a waffle maker!!! Communication before and after the rental was prompt and helpful!"

  • Great location, comfy cottage

"Stayed a week in September to see my sister in Petoskey. Nicely located in Oden, about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Petoskey and a 40 minute drive from Mackinaw/Mackinac (apparently they are pronounced "aw"). We went to Whitefish point in the UP and then to Sault Sainte Marie in Ontario; spent a day on Mackinac Island. We didn't but fudge or a T-shirt as that did not enhance the beauty of the Island. Then, there is the bike trail just out the backyard: paved to the west you can get to Petoskey and beyond or up to Bay View. To the east the trail is hard gravel and you could ride to Mackinaw, jump on a ferry and ride around the Island. While I certainly didn't ride all that way, I could have done it on my single geared bike as the trail is old railroad bed and flat: I am looking forward to doing that on my next visit. The cottage in Northwoods comfortable, it lacks for nothing. The water is artesian well water -- which makes for good beer as I discovered at the Petoskey Brewing company just down the trail. Would I rent there again? You bet!"

  • Beautiful property in a fantastic location

"We enjoyed some warm October weather that allowed us to drink coffee on the back deck. We spent a full day in the U.P. at Tahquamenon Falls and the shipwreck museum. The property sits 1.5 hours away from that destination so it was a great launch point. Was also very nice to return to in the evening"
