  • Fantastic experience

"Have you ever lived in a gallery? Me neither! Until now! Our family of 5 (2 kids, grandma and parents) plus the dog stayed at this cottage at the end of August. It's is a beautiful house! Warm, inviting, comfortable. We all want to come back. Besides being decorated throughout with items that the owners had collected from local Michigan artists, there are beautiful details in the house itself. Like the wood inlay on the stair risers and the trim work on the doors. It is also a very comfortable place to stay. All the amenities are there and the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and proper utensils. My kids wanted to move there!"

  • Beautiful inside and out!

"This was our second week-long, 4th of July stay at the loft and it was once again lovely and restful. The outside deck with its view of the lake, light, and gardens is the perfect spot to eat, read, or just veg. Patio table, chairs, lounge chair and grill are provided, and they are all in top-notch condition. Inside follows suit with its fabulous kitchen and breakfast bar, comfy living area, and welcoming bed and bathrooms. Everything is new and spotless and there's plenty of space for clothing and other stuff you might bring. I wish my closet at home was this nice! The location is excellent and normally very peaceful. There is private beach access and it's a short drive to the Conundrum Cafe for coffee, ice cream, bike rentals, and local goods. A handful of restaurants are also nearby and the relative sprawling metropolis of Frankfort is just across the bay for even more shops and eateries. Phil and Rosemary are great hosts with the right mix of friendly helpfulness and respect for privacy. We are so happy to have found them and the Loft at Elberta Beach. Enjoy your stay!!"

  • Great house, great location

"We had another wonderful week in Frankfort, it's a wonderful Up North destination. Perfect town - not too big, not too small, with a little bit of everything you want/need. The house was just as described. Perfectly clean when we arrived. Beds were very comfortable, towels were very nice. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and small fan, and it cools off enough at night so it was comfortable for sleeping. Great front porch that always had a nice breeze. Very quiet neighborhood. A two block walk to the beach and to Main Street. Would have liked more seating in the living room for our whole family. Wifi, but no TV reception. Owner was very responsive by text. Would recommend for families with kids ages 5 and up."

  • Beautiful comfortable home! Great beach and large yard for outdoor fun!

"For a combined family vacation, our group had an age range of one year to 72 years and this vacation home met all of our needs! The home was spacious and comfortable with all the modern amenities. The home had a large deck outside of the back door. We loved playing games and running through the large backyard then relaxing on the beautiful beach on Crystal Lake. The Betsie Trail was just steps out of the front door. We had concerns about bringing our boat with us. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. She responded to our emails and phone calls very promptly. It was a pleasure working with her and staying at this lovely home! We will come back again!"
