  • Thoughtful and Beautiful.

"This is a truly amazing place. Eran and Stephanie have made an inspiring home on some of the country's most beautiful land. A few miles from Dunes and the Lake, this was as good as Hawaii. Nice touches with the complementary artisanal chocolate and local honey.....and great communication and flexibility when our camping trip was rained out. Highly recommended."

  • Absolutely gorgeous and tranquil!!

"Upon entering the long driveway to Deerpath, the anticipation and excitement of our family grew. Then, when we came through the clearing and the house appeared, we were instantly blown away. The house is much more grand and beautiful than any pictures could ever convey. The property sits on a very private lot. The house was spotless and very well maintained. We had 9 family members staying in the home total and it accommodated us perfectly. There was plenty of room to move around in the house, so we did not bump into each other and plenty of space for the kids to run around and play both inside and outside of the home. We utilized the bonfire pit and roasted marshmallows a few nights. Having two kitchens was lovely and very useful. We were able to cook a very large family meal for our extended family in Michigan. We certainly utilized ever single square inch of that home and property; we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it and would highly recommend the home to friends and family in the future. We do have plans on coming back next year. We were also able to explore the surrounding Elberta, Frankfort and Traverse City areas. We spent a day exploring Frankfort, swimming at the Frankfort beach and Betsie Lighthouse beach. We spent another day swimming at the Elberta beach; which we would highly recommend. The view is spectacular and the beach is very private, however, it's a public beach. We spent two days exploring Traverse City. One day shopping and another day just walking downtown. We also HIGHLY recommend visiting Cherry Republic. It was the childrens' favorite part of our vacation. The cherry wine, cherry soda and cherry ice cream were all hits among our family. Overall, this was one of the best vacations we have ever been on. It was peaceful, relaxing, serene and action packed all at the same time. So much to do and so much beaty to explore in "Pure Michigan"!"

  • Up North Cottage Feel! Great Lake!!! Neighbors are friendly and nice!

"The cottage was as pictured inside and out, and was spacious enough for all 6 of us to stay. Listing states 1400 sq ft, and we are used to 3500 sq ft, but we did not feel crowded at all. The dining table and the living room have great views of the lake and we enjoyed them a lot. The kitchen was supplied with all the pots and pans and amenities you will need for cooking or baking, including spices, which was a nice surprise. The only thing I couldn't find was a wine opener. Luckily I brought one. :) The owners have also left decks of cards and a few boards games, which came in handy on our rainy day. Another note, we brought fans (because they weren't listed) just in case of a really hot day, but the cottage does have them. The lake was perfect!! Sugar sand beach area with a picnic table and grill. The water was shallow for quite a ways out for swimming and wading with our children and dogs. The owners also provided a couple of kick boards and an air mattress type float. I was initially hesitant about having to cross the road to reach the water, but this area does not have much traffic at all and it is flat, no stairs to climb up or down to get to the water. The dock was a wonderful place to hang out on also, sturdy, well maintained. We brought our jet ski with us and this property was close to the boat launch area. Literally two minutes down the road. There is a rental place for boats, jet skis, etc. right on the lake too. Negatives were there was an ant and yellow jacket issue with the cottage. The night we arrived we chose not to use one of the bedrooms because there were black ants crawling on the floor and the comforter of one of the beds. They were also upstairs in another bedroom. We called the owner the next day and she was wonderful about everything. She offered to have an exterminator there the next day. We chose to just avoid these areas rather than have the chemicals around our kids and dogs, so she scheduled them for the morning we left (and we met the man to show him the areas before we departed). As for the bees, I think they just came in on the wrong side. There were 8 of them during our stay. Some we found dead on the window ledge and floor, and three we had to kill. There were also brown ants on the kitchen counter near the sink (outside wall). We just kept all the food in the fridge. All in all we really enjoyed our vacation at this cottage. I Really didn't like the ants, but the neighbors and the lake made it a lot more fun"
