  • Quiet and private!

"This lakefront treed property not only is private and quiet, but the home is spacious, clean and has everything you could possibly need. The directions left are helpful. There was not one sungle thing we could think of that wasn't either on the property or in the house. The owner was only a phone call or text away, and responded quickly."

  • Nice to be on one of the Great Lakes

"Simply spectacular week! We had perfect weather, the water was warm, the house just blew us away. We are from the east coast and we have some of the finest B&B’s and Fitch Landing would be right up there with the best.. See you next summer!"

  • Peace and Quiet

"We enjoyed our stay at Sweetwater Cottage so much. We are already considering returning next summer. Sweetwater is close to everything: local beaches, Ludington State Park, South Bayou Park/boat launch, and only a few miles from downtown Ludington. We appreciated the quiet, private setting of the cottage away from downtown for our family and dog. We enjoyed riding bikes, fishing of the dock at South Bayou Park (which you can easily walk to), playing in the waves of Lake Michigan along M116, kayaking around Hamlin Lake and exploring Ludington State Park. We were so happy to have a clean rental to call "home" for the week. Our dog did great here as he is old and there are no stairs at Sweetwater (except to get to the basement). The kids thought the bunk beds were the coolest thing in the world. We used the fire pit for cooking hot dogs and s'mores and enjoyed eating outside almost every night when we weren't exploring food options in Ludington. The cottage is tastefully decorated with art from the Red Door Gallery and unique pottery pieces. Visit the gallery if you get a chance on James St.! We did notice there were no alarm clocks in the bedrooms and no clocks in the house. Since most people have smartphones this isn't a huge deal for us adults but our kids were up pretty early most mornings because they had no sense of time in their bedroom. Also, bring nightlights if you use them. We bring ours everywhere when we travel for the kids but something to consider. Thank you Nathan and Amanda for providing such a great place to stay!"
