  • Female Family Vacation 2016

"We had a Female Family Vacation and stayed at this wonderful condo. There were a total of 10 adult women and one child, the age range was from 6 to 86 years old. If you're looking for a relaxing, roomy, comfortable place for your family gathering then look no further. This is truly a wonderful place. There is lots of space to relax and unwind, if you need some quiet time there is plenty of room if you just want to go off by yourself. The bedrooms are comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was a definite plus with so many women. The pool and whirlpool was an added bonus and was enjoyed by all ages!!! It's close to Harbor Springs and Petoskey and we also went to Mackinaw Island for the day. If you enjoy going to the casino there is Odawa Casino about 20 minutes away in Petoskey. Roger was a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend staying in this condo for your family vacation. You won't go wrong with renting this amazing place out. If we ever go back to this area for vacation we would definitely look at booking this place again!!"

  • Amazing beach!!!

"The owner was super attentive and answered multiple questions on moments notice. Have never dealt with such attentive and helpful owners. We had an enjoyable, relaxing vacation. The trail down to the beach was easy and we enjoyed it. The beach was amazing!!! Absolutely beautiful and like none other we have ever stayed at. We went to Petoskey a couple of times and enjoyed the shops and a couple movies. Spent another day at Mackinac and an afternoon in Harbor Springs. All are easy trips of 20-45 min. The kitchen is super small, which I expected. But the biggest disappointment was the kitchen not being very well stocked. This made cooking very challenging. I was glad I brought my own dish cloths as well and we bought a pot just so we could make mac & cheese. . . which we left at the cabin for others. The other thing I would mention is the décor is very animal/hunting like. I respect the owners taste and this is probably very appealing for many, but our 8 year old daughter had a nightmare her first night in the loft, of animals attacking her. (She never has nightmares normally). The bear rug with growling teeth in the loft had to be rolled up and put away to prevent troubling her and she still couldn't sleep up there the rest of the week. The giant moose head next to the loft probably wasn't helpful either. This is just something I will be sure to ask about in the future! The shower needs some work as well, as it was useless to have a temp control/knob, as it does it's own thing, often giving you a not-so-hot shower. We had a great, relaxing week and will treasure the beautiful memories forever."

  • Great Stay at Awesome A-Frame Beach House

"A retirement celebration trip to see beautiful autumn colors in northern Michigan with my husband Larry (married 41 years) included a very special and delightful two night stay at Richard & Stephanie Guyor's darling A-Frame beach home in Harbor Springs. I was looking for a charming place near Lake Michigan, nestled in the woods and this darling little place was just the ticket! Talk about clever and efficient construction... this wonderful economy size hide-a-way had everything we needed and was designed with comfort & convenience in mind and eye appeal. We were so pleased with the features of this mini beauty... such as the gorgeous interior wood and marble tile floor, nice built-in places for things, a great TV with lots and lots of stations, a multi-purpose space saving kitchen unit that contained a frig, a good size sink and burners for stove-top cooking and all the necessary dishes & kitchen utensils, There was a very nice inside half bath with toilet & sink and cabinet underneath and a fabulous outdoor shower (which felt terrific!). For sleeping, we pulled out a lovely futon that turned into a comfortable bed. Larry is 6'1" and he didn't have any problem with bumping his head. We loved the big desk with an unobstructed view of Lake Michigan and we made a point of star gazing on the deck at night. One of our favorite thing was sitting on the beach at night with a campfire and watching/listening to the waves coming into shore. We wished we had been able to stay a whole week, as it would have been fun to explore the beach & woods more. The ride to get to this A-Frame was gorgeous in fall and parts of it took us through the M-119 "Tunnel of Trees" which was just fantastic to do... amazing colors & views of Lake Michigan! Our host, Richard, was such an attentive host and made sure we knew all the features of his beach home and gave us tips about where to eat in the area. We enjoyed Legs Inn (authentic Polish food yum yum) and New York (classy restaurant, delicious food and two for one pricing before 5:30 pm!) Richard was very interesting and quite talented and showed us the stone waterfalls he had created throughout his property, including a real moat and drawbridge at his adjacent home. All in all... we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this special A-frame beach home and would definitely go there again... maybe next summer, so we could enjoy playing in Lake Michigan too - with some kayaks that are made available for guests. Excellent stay!"
